Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Around home today

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
58 degrees this morning and cloudy when I walked.  Felt a little mist every once in a while but not enough to get even damp.

Walked around one of the cemeteries.  Picture is at the far end of the cemetery.
Then I walked back to the main road and down past the HT turn off and turned around here.
Walked back to town and around the other cemetery, a loop around town and then went home.
A doe and her two fawns.  Pretty far away but I zoomed in to get the picture.
The only person I saw out was Lisa running.
I walked 5.6 miles.

Ken went up to Happy Trails early this morning and I stayed home to get some house cleaning done.  Planned on going to HT in the afternoon but ended up staying home - too much to do around here.  A whole lot of weeding and trimming got done in the front garden to the right of the porch.  It was getting much too overgrown.  Now I can walk there again.
Ken did a lot of work on the cabin and I'm looking forward to going there tomorrow to see all that he did.

We had a pizza in the freezer that we made last week and we had that for supper out on the front porch.
It stayed cool today barely making it to 70 and mostly cloudy but we did see a little bit of the sun.

Hope your day has been a happy one.

It's always amazing how much there is to do when you are away. Good to visit your folks but I am sure you enjoy being back home as well. Not sure if you are seeing the grandkids this summer with them being far away but hope so. I'll be out of touch for a little while so have a great week my Happy Friend!
