Sunny Skies today
✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
It was dry this morning when I started walking, but a bit of fog in some places. The temperature was 64 degrees. By the time I was back home the sun was out : )I walked through town, down the road past the HT turn and went to my usual place where I turn around. It is right here where the guard rail starts.
Walked back to and around town. Saw people getting reading for the yard sale. I counted 9 of them. I'm sure there were more a little later.
The usual rabbits were hopping around and I saw a deer run across the road.
I walked 5.5 miles.
Found my first coin of the month - a penny.

Taking advantage of the sunny day, we left for a day up at Happy Trails right after breakfast. Stopped at two the yard sales on the way there. Ken bought 3 metal saw horses at one of them. We got the outside wall (left in picture) done in the foyer part of the cabin and the roof rafters too. There is a small window opening framed out too.
We also got two of the roof rafters in on the other side. Now we can build that side wall.
Picture taken walking up to the cabin.
We worked in the morning, took a break for lunch and then took the ATV riding around HT for awhile. We hiked around HT too for while checking out the additional 5 acres we just bought. It was a piece of land between us and our neighbor Ron so now we will always be neighbors.
This little butterfly hung around the cabin with us all day. It seemed to like the wood.
We did a little more work when we got done playing around with the ATV and left to go home about 4:30.
After supper I mowed the lawn. I didn't really feel like it but since it was a sunny day I thought I'd better do it, besides the grass was getting quite long. After it was done I was glad I did it.
It was a fun outside day. : )
Hope your day was a happy one.

Billy - We mainly watch old television series on Netflix with a movie thrown in there once in while. We have the mailing plan with 2 at a time and it works fine for us.
MOM UPDATE
My mom is doing quite well. : )
Her broken leg has healed and she is back in rehab and doing good.
If all continues as good as it is going she should be going back home
on Friday. : )
Thank you again for all your prayers, kind words, and good wishes.

Cabin is looking good! And did you say you bought more land!?
:-)
Great adventure for a fun day outside and lovely photos. Greetings!
Sounds like you had another great day. Glad to hear your mom is doing so much better!
We enjoy watching the old tv shows too. Take care.
The cabin is looking good! It is wonderful you bought the extra acres, especially when you already like your neighbors. Great news about your Mom too. The netflix is a great idea. Enjoy your Sunday!
Looks like a beautiful day, some work done on the new place and still time for fun. So glad to hear a good report on your mom!
The cabin is really progressing. When do you think you will have it finished? WONDERFUL news about Aunt Ida. I think of her often, so I was really happy to read that she is in rehab and will be home soon.
So glad to hear the good news about your Mom! I think your butterfly is a Red Admiral. I haven't seen any of those here yet this year.
How many acres do you and Ken have now at Happy Trails?
I was enjoying reading about your fun day and then really thrilled to read about the good update on your mom. I am so happy to hear that she is doing so much better.
Yay for your mom's going home! That's wonderful.
So much going on at HT...you guys are getting a lot accomplished.
I didn't want to mow my lawn today either. Man! Too muggy for me and I've been sneezing ever since.
Yay for sunny weather! May you have much more. Looks like a great day at the cabin :)
I am glad I visited this post today. I woke up early and was thinking about your mother for some reason, wondering how she was. So I am happy to see that news.
I love seeing the photos of your cabin taking shape. The extra five acres of land will be great!
