Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A beautiful sunny day : )

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Woke up to a beautiful sunny morning.  : )  Not a cloud in sight with cool refreshing air and a temperature of 50 degrees.  Perfect walking weather.

I walked the Farm Loop.
I saw a deer running along beside one of the corn fields and then it darted in between the rows of corn.  All the usual birds out and also saw a gray cat bird.  Don't see many of them around here.

Joyce was out walking to get her coffee and Lisa was out for her morning run.  She mentioned how much she like the daisies in my yard and I told her she could come any time take some of them to plant in her garden.

Also walked around town.
My walk today was 5.8 miles.
Found a quarter.

When I got home from walking Ken had already left for Happy Trails.  He said he wouldn't do any high up work while I wasn't there.

I got some things done around the house in the morning and after lunch I went up to HT.

I sifted the stone we crushed into two sizes and put them in buckets and brought them back to the house.  We will use is it on the back stone patio we started last year.  Hoping we can finish that this year too.  We have laid out stone and this crushed stone will go between the stones.
Ken worked on the cabin putting up the front roof rafters.  They are short and will be the overhang on the porch.  He put up 12 of 13. No time for the last one.
We just have time to eat and then off to church.
It's been a good day. : )
Hope your day has been a good one.

I call this "perfection", the weather and view! I have been walking up until this week, canning and extreme heat has kept me from walking, but plan to get back after tomorrow, as I am finishing my canning for a while! I must getting more excited by the day, of the cabin being finished.
Thanks for visiting and for always leaving a sweet comment, enjoy your week,
Blessings,
Sue

All is right with the world once again. HappyOne is happy again and that makes me happy too.
I must admit it made me feel a bit sad to think you weren't happy. So glad to know that today was a better day for you. You bring so much happiness to so many people, Karen. I hope you always know just how much you mean to so many of us.

Wasn't it a great morning for walking? I loved every minute of my walk this morning. I also saw deer this morning...it was a mama and one of her young ones. They stood in the middle of the road and stared at me for a long time before they decided I was getting too close and then they darted into the woods. I walked not quite a mile. I am trying to increase a bit each day.

Glad you finally had a rainless day. We are the opposite and could use so rain here. We are just about to head out on our morning walk. It is about 50 degrees here too this morning. Take care and have a good day.

Your flowers are pretty. It was a gorgeous day yesterday for walking. I like the view of HT, it will be nice to see a finished HT from the same view point. Have a happy day!

Hi Karen, Your cabin up at HT is looking just great. I wonder ... Once you get it all finished is it going to be hard to leave there and go back home? Ha ha. Neat pictures, as always, and especially like that butterfly pic. Have a great weekend!

We had a beautiful day here as well. I just wanted to say again how gorgeous the photo of the swallowtail and the flowers is on your previous post.

What a beautiful day where much was accomplished. You two are working harder in retirement than ever before!

The cabin is looking grand! I love the look of it from below in that last shot. Can't wait to see it finished -- how neat that will be! I'm so envious of your weather -- a clear blue sky and 50 degrees? Right now, if we have clear skies, you can be sure it is 90 degrees. And if it's 50 degrees ... well, that means it's October! haha :)
