This picture from yesterdays walk when the sun was out. : )
Farmer Bill's place
✿ ✿ ✿ ✿
62 degrees this morning and the clouds have come back, though we did some sun today.Today's walk took me all over town and around the cemeteries and ball park loop.
Remember Lone Chicken who moved away? Look how over grown her coop is now.
The corn around here is getting taller and taller each day. I like to hear the wind blow through the corn, it makes a sound all its own.
No people about this Tuesday morning, only in cars.
Just me, the birds, and rabbits about today. : )
I walked 5.5 miles.

Each day more daisies are popping out in my yard.
I've been home all day and got some more work done around home. Planned on mowing the lawn but it was a bit too soggy for that - maybe tomorrow.I baked another batch of chocolate chip cookies for Bible Time next week. I've baked 12 dozen so far with 8 more to go.
This is the new recipe I made tonight for supper.
Pizzaiola Chops
2 Tablespoons olive oil, divided
4 boneless pork loin chops
1 teaspoon salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
1 1/2 cups sliced baby portobello mushrooms
1 medium sweet yellow pepper, coarsely chopped
1 medium sweet red pepper, coarsely chopped
Large tomato, chopped
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 Tablespoon minced fresh oregano OR 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 garlic cloves, minced
1. In large skillet heat 1 Tablespoon oil over med-high heat. Season chops with half the salt and pepper. Brown chops on both sides. Remove from pan.
2. In same pan, heat remaining oil over med-high heat. Add mushrooms and peppers; cook and stir 3-4 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Add tomato, broth, oregano, garlic and remaining salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 2 minutes.
3. Return chops to pan. Cook, covered 5-7 minutes.
I made some rice to go along with it too.
It was quite tasty but next time I will try it with chicken instead of the pork chops.
After supper we sat out on the porch for a little while. It was a bit on the cool side but nice.
And now just another relaxing evening at home.
Hope your day has been a happy one.

How odd... on last night's walk, I listened to the wind rustling the corn stalks. What a pleasant sound it was too.
Yum! That looks and sounds delish. I like your idea to use chicken instead. I don't very often make pork chops because they always seem to come out tough. Will have to try this one out.
Farmer Bill has a very pretty place. It looks so peaceful. I love the gazebo and the canoe near the pond. I hope he finds time to enjoy it.
Lone Chicken's overgrown coop made me sad. Where fore art thou, Lone Chicken? Hopefully not somebody's dinner. Oops, maybe I ought to stick with the pork chops after all :).
Pretty scenes from your walk. I like the pond. The daisies are pretty, one of my favorites. Your recipe sounds delicious, thanks for sharing the recipe! Have a happy day!
That dish sounds (and looks) yummy!
Farmer Bill's place is absolutely beautiful! I am always so amazed at what you see while walking! Do you ever smell the corn when the sun is out? I can walk by ours on my way to the blueberry patch and it smells so nice. ~smile~
Thanks for sharing the recipe, I also bake and freeze cookies!
Have a blessed day,
Sue
Lovely photos as always. Glad to see you had some sunshine. Have a great day!
Hmmmm...your meal sounds very tasty. That Farmer Bill has created a lovely spot on earth. I'd like hear the wind in the corn, it must sound nice and swishy.
What beautiful scenery you have to enjoy, on your walks!! It's so hot here, that we have to walk early and the moon is still out, not the sun **heehee**.
Thanks for sharing that yummy looking recipe!
