A warm cloudy morning at 63 degrees this morning when I started out walking and it looked and felt like rain. Walked straight through town,
and up to the first cemetery and took a couple of loops around it.
By this time I felt the first few drops of rain so headed back home and picked up my umbrella, but the rain didn't come. Continued over to the second cemetery and then down by the Drane House and walked over to the pond. That's where I took the top picture of the geese family. Took these pictures of the geese there too. Then a light steady rain started on my way over to the ball park and I walked around the loop there, then back around town some more and finally back home again.
A few rabbits were scurrying about the cemeteries, and I watched a couple of killdeers dive bomb a crow that I guess was getting too close to their nest.
Didn't see any people about.
Walked 5.5 miles.

Tomorrow Ken leaves for his time away with the guys from church in the woods. Riding ATV's on all the trails, fishing, shooting, relaxing and having some good fellowship and Ken has been busy getting all his stuff together for that. This morning I baked some chocolate cookies for him to take along. I used one store bought egg and one of the eggs that Cathy gave us. Just look at the difference. The broken yoke is from Cathy.
The sun came out just before lunch time and it's been a beautiful sunny day.
After lunch I weeded the two front gardens down by the street. I can't believe how fast the weeds spout up.
After weeding I sat out on the porch and finished reading my book.
We've just had supper and now we are off to church. Ken usually drives but this evening I'm driving us in my car for a change.
Hope your day was a happy one.
happyone : )
When I was 40, my doctor advised me that a man
in his 40's shouldn't play tennis.
I heeded his advice carefully and could hardly wait
until I reached 50 to start again.

I love farm eggs! You can totally tell a difference in the taste!
Love the new look of the blog! I'm a fan!
Sweet goose family! We have many geese at the parks around here. Especially the park behind the library that is my favorite place to walk.
Mmm! Chocolate cookies. One of my favorite (of many) kinds. :). 5.5 miles is a great walk!
I hope the Ken has a great time. I know that I would be busy preparing for such a trip too.
Yeah, quite a difference in the eggs. And obviously, a nutritional difference as well.
Love the photos, the geese families are cute. You had a nice walk seeing the wildlife Do the eggs taste different? Ken's trip sounds like fun for the men! Have a happy day!
I love the geese! The difference in the eggs is shocking. My cousins raise chickens for eggs and meat and you can sure tell the difference.
Great pictures of the geese. I know that Ken will enjoy his "man time" and you will enjoy some time just for you as well. Have a great day!
