Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Corner Posts

It was raining out when I woke up but by the time I was dressed and outside walking it had stopped.  It was 60 degrees and just cloudy.

I walked the Farm Loop it was peaceful with no one at all around on this early Saturday morning.  But then again every morning is like that up around here. : )
A couple of pictures along the way.
On the road back to town I saw a friend of ours who also goes to our church.  He drives an 18 wheeler and was out in his yard washing his truck.  Said Good Morning and continued down into town.

I made a loop around town and then back home again.
I found another dime this morning.
Walked 5.2  miles.

Ken went up to Happy Trails again this morning while I stayed home.  He was up there getting the ATV ready - checking out the battery and just making sure all is in running order with that.  A few days at the end of the week he will be going with the men from church for the men's get-a-way.  They shoot, fish, and drive the trails on their ATV's.  Ken went last year and had a great time.

I made some bread, did a few other things around the house and also went outside and got a bit more weeding done on the side garden.  When Ken came home, we had lunch and then went to Lowe's to get some more building supplies.  On the way back we drove through a  thunderstorm.  The rain was letting up by the time we got near home so we continued on up to Happy Trails.  We did a little work in a light rain and the rain eventually stopped altogether.  We got the four end posts of the four corners put in those brackets we put in the cement the other day.  The posts are taller than they need to be and will be cut down to the proper size at a later time.
We took the ATV home on the trailer with us so Ken can wash it.
The sun came out for little while near the end of the day but by then we were already home.  We sat on the porch and read and even ate our supper out there.

So that's been our day.  An evening at home feels good after a day of work. : )

It's been a good day.
Life is Good.
Hope you day is a happy one.

Send some of that rain our way please! We are so dry here. Wow you two are so busy. Your relaxing in the evening is well deserved.

So are Ken and you doing all of the construction? You both must be quite handy!
