Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A busy Tuesday

Picture from yesterday up Sale Barn Road

60 degrees and cloudy this morning when I walked and it was pretty windy out so it felt nice and cool.  By the time I got home the sun was shining and it's been a nice sunny though windy day.

I walked around all the streets in town and around the two cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Janet who drives a school bus was just getting to her bus as I walked by and she stopped to chat a few minutes with me.

Kathy was out walking but we just waved because we were far from each other.

The rabbits were out again by the cemetery and also the swallows and red winged black birds.

I walked 5.4 miles.

Today I went along with Ken up to Happy Trails.  In just the last few days all the leaves have popped out and everything is green.  This is one of the trails I walked along.
Some pretty yellow flowers growing in our little stream that hardly has any water in it now.
Every time I walk over to a little water hole with rocks all around it that Ken made, I hear frogs jump into the water.  Today I stood still waiting for them to come out of the water again.  After about 10 minutes frogs of all sizes slowly began popping up in the water and I watched as some climbed out onto the rocks.  I counted 14 of them.

The work on the cabin as begun today.  The holes for the back footings were dug and these round tubes were put in and leveled.
Here's a close up looking inside one.  That is rebar sticking in there and tomorrow we will fill them with 4 feet of cement.  Then we will do the two front footings.
We got a call saying our trailer was fixed so we went and picked that up after work at HT.

After supper we went food shopping at Martin's down in La Vale.  The store was just about empty and we had a nice walk up and down all the aisles.  Shopping was pleasant.

Now we are home after a busy day for a little relaxation.

It's been a good day.
Life is Good.
Hope your day was a happy one.

You were rewarded for your patience! Glad that the trailer is back in business. The tree must be long gone.

La Vale used to be a regular stop for us when on the road to WV and back. The yellow flowers are so pretty.
