I took this picture yesterday zoomed in from inside the house.

Though I didn't get to walk outside this morning because it was very cold out, 11 below zero and had to walk inside, it was such a beautiful sunny morning. Very clear with a beautiful bright blue sky.On these cold mornings the snow looks so pretty. Looks all sparkly and glittery in the sun. The big white flakes remind me of the flakes in the laundry detergent Ivory Snow.
It is much easier to for me to enjoy the snow here than where I used to live. : )
I finished the puzzle I've been working on.
We went out for dinner this evening at Perkins. We both had pot roast dinners. I so wanted to have a piece of Lemon Meringue Pie but fought the urge. I'll be happy later with my ice cream. : )It warmed up to the 20's today and it supposed to be in the 40's by Sunday. Could this have been the last of our snow? Somehow I don't think so. It can still snow here in April.
Hope your day has been a happy one.

I'm not sure what our temperature was early this morning. I do know that around 7:30 or so it was just 2 above zero.
Your supper this evening sounds yummy. Is there a Perkins close by where you live? I made a Lemon Meringue pie today. :)
Have a great weekend!
I believe you have learned how to be content wherever you are! Supper sounds very good! So does lemon pie.:-) The biggest snow we have ever had in this area came on March 13, 1993 - 18 inches!
I LOVE the pic of the birdhouse! So pretty! Looks like it will be in the 70's on Wednesday in Kansas and staying in the 60's throughout the ten day forecast, so we shall see! I am looking forward to everything being green again and my favorite flowers coming to life - daffodils!
I was so happy to see the snow stop and the blue sky! Your photos are lovely, I especially love the birdhouse.. My hubby love Perkins, especially they chocolate cream pie, LOL! Have a happy weekend!
Wow ....your snowy birdhouse shot is amazing!
mmmm...Lemon pie is my fave! I wouldn't have been able to resist!
What a lot of snow you have had this year. I love the puzzle you have been working on. Your dinner at Perkins sounds good. I don't think we have any Perkins' around here. Hang on - spring is coming!
I would not have had the discipline to refuse the pie! Beautiful pictures, as always. I hope the snow isn't over yet - I'm still enjoying it!
Congratulations on finishing your puzzle. The birdhouse looks as if it couldn't take much more snow. Hopefully Spring will start to put in an appearance.
Ahhhh---gorgeous, especially the picture with the blue skies... I would have loved to have had some pretty snow like you get this winter, but it wasn't meant to be. All we have gotten is a little snow and a LOT of ICE. Oh Well!!!!! Tis Life..... Love seeing your pictures though.
I love beef pot roast --and used to get the best servings at our Golden Corral. But--we don't go there anymore since it is a buffet and we both eat too much there.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
That is a cool picture of snow on the birdhouse. You mentioned Perkins ... Wow, I haven't been to Perkins for years. The nearest Perkins (to Seattle) is in Ellensburg, Washington, about 100 miles away. I always enjoyed dining there. How was the pot roast? I recently made pot roast at home and it turned out to be the best I've had in my six decades. :-) Before I started cooking that day, I looked on the web to find a good recipe ... I found the Pioneer Woman Perfect Pot Roast. She gives detailed instructions too. I think the real secret is cooking longer at a lower temperature. Anyway I can highly recommend it and it's easy to find with a Google search. Hope you're having a fine weekend.
I love the birdhouse picture. I also hope this will be the end of the snow. I actually had a window cracked open for about an hour today, just to get some fresh 40 deg air inside.
Lemon meringue pie? Don't ever pass that up! Life's too short! :^)
