Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Favorite Hymn

We sang this hymn at church this morning.
It is Pastor Leatherman's favorite hymn.  : )

 Our Great Savior
        Written by J. Wilbur Chapman in 1910

1. Jesus! what a Friend for sinners!
Jesus! Lover of my soul;
Friends may fail me, foes assail me,
He, my Savior, makes me whole.

Chorus
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
Hallelujah! what a Friend!
Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end.

2.  Jesus! what a Strength in weakness!
Let me hide myself in Him;
Tempted, tried and sometimes failing,
He my Strength, my vict'ry wins.

3.  Jesus! what a Help in sorrow!
While the billows o'er me roll;
Even when my heart is breaking,
He my Comfort, helps my soul.

4.  Jesus! what a Guide and Keeper!
While the tempest still is high,
Storms about me, night o'er take me,
He, my Pilot, hears my cry.

5.  Jesus! I do now receive Him,
more than all in Him I find;
He hath granted me forgiveness,
I am His, and He is mine.

A blessed Sunday to all.

Kerri,  Haven't seen Blethcley Circle - thanks - will add it to the queue.
Billy,  I've had the buttons for years.  They sit in an old glass canister.  Don't use them for anything.  Just like the looks of them sitting there. : )

Hi Happyone, It was a pleasure to listen to the hymn Our Great Savior on YouTube. Thank you for the link. The words in the hymn are meaningful and especially comforting. That was very kind of you to type them all in. I also went back and looked at some of your posts around the end of February when I was moving and missed a lot of blogging posts for several days. Found several wonderful photos, the ones you take while out on your walks, that leads to another question for you. Would you mind telling us the model and brand of camera you are using? Your photos are always so clear, the colors seem brilliant, and exposures are perfect. Of course a great photographer will tell you the camera is only a tool and it’s the person using the camera that really creates great photos. Of all the blogs I am following … quite a few … I would say your photos are the best when it comes to scenic views. Thanks, as always, for sharing. John

Yes, your photos are awesome! As for the buttons, have you ever tried using them with one of your quilt projects?

I love the message of the hymn. Will keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers. Will you be going to be with her during the surgery? Have a good week.
