Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A warm sunny day

☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
I am happy to say that this morning was a beautiful morning for taking my walk outside.  : )  My body was still on the old time so I didn't wake up until 7:30 so got a late start at 7:45 but the good thing was it wasn't dark.  It was 30 degrees, no wind and the sun came out.

I walked all around town.  Still couldn't walk around the cemeteries and the base ball loop because the paths aren't cleared but I'm sure they will be in the next couple of days.

I saw the woman with the ear phones and you can just see her up ahead in this picture.
I continued on my walk passed my house which is in the middle of the picture below
and went over to the industrial park and walked around there before going back home.  Sure was nice being able to walk outside again. : )
I walked 6.2 miles.

I haven't had any birds around the yard for months except for the crows but today a mourning dove stopped by.
By lunch time it was 48 degrees and still sunny so we decided to go up to Happy Trails.  Had to leave the truck at the bottom of the driveway because of the snow and we walked up.  Nice to be walking around HT again and we look forward to having the snow gone so we can get started building our little cabin.
Took this picture from the where the cabin will be.  We will cut a few more trees down and have a really nice view of town.
The ice has melted on our little pond.
We couldn't do any work but it was still nice just being up there.

Instead of going to Brenda's this evening for half price pizza we went to Mountain State Brewing Company and got an oven baked pizza instead.
And now we're home enjoying our evening.

Hope your day has been sunny and bright.

Nice warm day here too, at least the first day. Above freezing in about 8 weeks! Beautiful sunny day.

The sunshine and even standing water are so good to see in spring.

The pizza looks delicious! I wonder if that is your garage up at Happy Trails? What a project to build a cabin! When finished will you stay there or just use it as a second place? Have a happy day!

It is looking very pretty at HT. It will be fun to follow along as you and Ken bring your dream to reality.
So happy that you were able to get outside again for your walk.
The pizza looks tempting.

Oh boy! Your photo proves that the judicious cutting of trees opens up beautiful views. It looks so pretty, Karen. Ken and you have worked so hard and it is all paying off. I am shocked to see all that snow, but with temps at 48°F it can't last long.
