Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A spring picture

Thought you might be tired of looking at snow.
A spring morning a couple of years ago.
A path I used to walk down to the lake where I used to live.
 ☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
Cold, icy, windy and snow kept me inside this morning and I had a three mile walk in the basement.  Walked another mile later in the afternoon.

By lunch time it had cleared up and sun came out so after we ate I went outside and shoveled off the driveway yet again. It was windy but felt good to be outside and the sun felt so good.  I took all the snow off my swing and sat there for a while enjoying the pretty day.  Ken made that fence with small trees from HT and my garden will be there in the spring.
Finished one of the pink and purple slippers I've been knitting.  One down one to go.  Today I'm working on weave-it squares.

After supper we went to Walmart and did our food shopping.  This time we saw Krista there.  Still no baby!!

Good news about my coat.  Walked in church last night and there was my coat hanging up.  Good to know someone didn't steal it. : )

Update on my mother.  She is on a medicine to thin her blood and they are still monitoring her heart and will be for the next few weeks. I guess they will have to make a decision on what to do after that. She is very tired but doing okay.  Thank you so much for your prayers.  My mother thanks you too!!

Hope your day was a good one and you smiled often.
happyone : )

that makes happiness.

Nellie - forgot to answer your question from the other day.  Krista lives just a few blocks from the hospital so it's a quick trip once the baby wants to be born. : )

Just to say, Whakatane is in the North Island on the east coast and we live in Mosgiel which is on the east coast of the South Island. Otherwise I would have made the effort to visit and hear your pastor. Never mind, I'm sure he will enjoy the east coast hospitality.

I am so glad your coat had been returned! I continue to have your mother in my thoughts and prayers. We still haven't had much snowfall here - just a dusting last week.

Well that is a lovely springtime picture, but I am not tired of your snow pictures. Very nice fence that Ken made. You sure have yourself a handy fella! :) Glad you got your coat back!

Thanks for updating us about your mom. Keeping her in my prayers.

That spring photo is pretty shocking after we've become so accustomed to snow. I have always wondered what it would be like to live somewhere with snow on the ground for long periods of time. I wonder if it's a little like the rain in Seattle. After I got accustomed to it, I really started liking it and it makes me feel kind of cozy when I'm inside reading or working on the computer. Do you love the snow?

I'm glad to hear that your mother is doing okay. Your garden area looks beautiful, even in the snow. Thanks for the beautiful -- and warm -- Spring photo.

Praying for your mom to regain her strength. Oh you are having similar weather patterns...are you also going to get a blizzard this weekend? I can't believe that your friend still hasn't had her baby. It seems like forever!

Super fence made by Ken! No nails, right? Thanks for letting us know you got your coat. Love the Spurgeon quote. I just now sent you another e-mail update. Mary Jo

I had to smile when I saw your picture of spring a couple years ago. It seems like it has been a couple years since it was spring! Good for you to keep up your walking indoors. I haven't been doing well at keeping up lately. The treadmill is calling, maybe I'll go visit...Press on!

Catching up, hope your mother is doing OK now, will start reading more.
I like your little taste of spring. It still seems a long way away, even now.
