Happy Sunday : )
Each year I read the Bible through. This year I will be following a
reading plan that my church has given out. The reading schedule is on a
calendar and it is also a nice place to keep track of church activities on it.
By the end of the year I will have read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice. Psalms gets read twice and Proverbs 12 times. Pastor Leatherman encourages all of us to read our Bibles daily. You can check the calendars out HERE.
When life is filled with heartaches,
And you know not what to do;
Dark days will look much brighter,
when you read the Bible through.
When burdens crush like heavy weights,
And you know not what to do;
Burdens seem to grow much lighter,
When you read your Bible through.
When a fierce wind your life shakes,
And you know not what to do;
Days seem much more peaceful,
When you read your Bible through.
So do not trust your feelings,
And friends may fail you, too;
But Christ will seem much nearer,
When you read your Bible through.
Deuteronomy 8:3
......that He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only;
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
A blessed Sunday to all of you.
God loves you.
Happy Reading.

One can never go wrong when reading the Bible.
The calendar is a great idea! Have a happy day!
You are such a great example and inspiration reading the bible every year. I read every day, but it always takes me more than a year to get through it. I am going to check out the calendar. I love this poem at the end of your post. So true! Have a great week. See you later!
An excellent challenge. Sure like the calendar.
I love the little poem that you posted.. it is right on the mark.
Our days may have ups and downs... but always, it helps to read our scriptures. To be spiritually fed.

This year I will read Proverbs. I have read them all before, but I decided to take it slow and pay attention and see what I will learn. Happy New Year!
Was talking with my sister and she said she has read the Bible about 90 times. I've only made it twice.
I'm doing one of Kay Arthur's studies this year.
I like the poem you wrote - very nice, and very meaningful!
