Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Couples night out

☀     ☀     ☀     ☀

Left on my walk at 7:30 this morning.  It was 20 degrees and no wind so it felt much warmer than yesterday at 25 degrees.  About 8:15 the sun was shining and stayed out for the rest of the day.

Walked to the post office first and dropped off two movies from Netflix.  Then continued  around town, around the cemeteries and down the main road just past Barn Sale Rd, then back in town again.

Didn't see any people and there were very few cars around.  When I got down to the barn in the above picture there was my horse friend standing in the barn door.
I am thankful to be able to walk outside and that I have such a beautiful place to walk.
I walked 6.2 miles.

Forgot to mention yesterday when we were on our drive that we passed a whole bunch of mountain goats standing on a pretty steep rock cliff.  There must have been 100 of them.  All just standing there in the sun.  Wish we had stopped to take a picture.  Also saw quite a few deer too and some kind of a hawk.

I've been home today doing this and that around the house.

Every year our church has a couples banquet and this evening it was held at a restaurant in Grantsville.  We had a room to ourselves and had a great time.   We played a few games, ate good food, talked, laughed and enjoyed the evening.  A nice touch was that all of us ladies got a beautiful long stemmed rose to take home.

Hope your Saturday was good one and you smiled often.

Where would you be without friends?
The people to pick you up when you need lifting?
We com from homes far from perfect,
so you end up almost parent and sibling to your friends,
your own chosen family.
There is nothing like a really loyal, dependable, good friend.
Nothing.

Nice to see the horse came out to greet you a "Good morning!" :)
Your couples evening sounds like it was a wonderful time. How thoughtful to give the ladies a rose!

I enjoyed a nice long walk for a change with two friends Saturday morning. It was cold but sunny, and a good day for a walk. I enjoyed it, and our conversations. The couples' dinner sounds great. Enjoy the day. Art
