The sun trying to shine through the clouds this morning.
☀ ☀ ☀ ☀
Got a bit of a late start with my walk this morning and didn't leave until 7:50. It was 20 degrees and cloudy and just a slight breeze. I'm glad I left late though because around 8:30 the sun came out and I got to mostly walk in the sunshine. If I had walked at my usual time I would have been home by the time the sun was shining. I walked around town and the two cemeteries.
Walked up Barn Sale Road again but not all the way up the hill. I just walked to where I could see the cows and they were busy eating.
It was a nice walk and I'm happy to be enjoying my outside walks again. : )
The main street in my little town is only several blocks long and the speed limit goes down from 55 to 40 and in town to 25 . Most people slow down going through but there are some who fly right though town. A lot of mornings I see a noisy black pick-up truck go speeding right through town. This morning there was a state police behind him. The black truck tried going up the street that runs parallel to the main street but the cop followed him and I saw the lights go on. Sure enough the truck got pulled over and he got a ticket. I know it is not a very Christian attitude but I was happy that he got a ticket. May tomorrow he will slow down.
I walked my usual 6.2 miles.

I forgot to mention yesterday that The Third Hill North of Town was the first book I've read this year. I've gotten a bit of a slow start this year but my goal is to read 50 books.
I had a very nice surprise out of the blue in the mail today thanks to Karen, one of my blogger friends. She sent me the book, It's a God Thing volume 2. Thank you so much Karen. That is so nice of you and I was very surprised, just ask Ken. : )
A while back Karen sent me the book It's a God Thing. She had reviewed it on her blog and I said I'd like to read the book and the next thing I knew she mailed it to me and the book was mine. I'm looking forward to reading volume 2. Thanks again Karen.
It was a nice day at home. Did a some work, knitted a bit and started another book. It's a library book and Ken just finished it, so I have to read this one next because it's due next week. It's called Killing Jesus a history by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard. It is a history book about the times when Jesus lived, his death and resurrection.
Soon it will be snack time and my ice cream flavor tonight will be chocolate chip mint. I'll knit some more on the sweater as we watch the old movie, 12 Angry Men.
Hope your day has been a good one and you smiled often.

Beautiful sunshine! I enjoyed the warmer weather today as I ran my errands.
Wonderful surprise in the mail from your blogger friend. Now you know how great that feels!
You do have full days. I enjoy reading about them on your blog. Mary Jo
How wonderful that you had sunshine on your walk! We had a surprise of snow flurries here this afternoon! Great to have a surprise in the mail! Enjoy your ice cream.:-) One of my favorite flavors! In fact, I don't think I've met an ice cream I didn't like.:-)
I am enjoying all your snow shots, lovely. At the moment it is 32.4 degs Cel. and I am just about melting. We're heading into town shortly so may need a quick shower.
Diana.
Beautiful scenes from your corner...glad to see some white, even though it can be challenging for walking I am sure. Loved seeing your friend oohing and ahhing over the sweater set. She did look pleased...now perhaps we'll be treated to seeing a wee one wearing it one day soon. Hope that you were careful with Ken. He'd hate to have to show you his tricks. LOL!
Keep having fun, enjoy the puzzles, stay cozy, and keep walking whatever you do.
Your walk sounds delightful, Happyone! Yay for blogging friends who have generous hearts and share with us! :) Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Hopefully getting pulled over will cause the town speeder to slow down.
What a lovely surprise you have received from Karen. There are so many kind and generous people in this blogging community. How well I know this to be true ;-).
Your sunny photos are lovely and I'm glad you are able to be outside once again.
I'm thrilled to see the sun here this morning after 3 days of gloomy, gray skies.
I'm glad you're able to walk outdoors again. I really like the picture of the sun behind the clouds that you got. I'm glad to hear that the speeder got a ticket. Too often they get away with ignoring the speed limit.
More excellent photos and that first one is just awesome! Nice post Happyone!
Wow, what an amazing shot that first picture is! Absolutely beautiful! That sounds like a wonderful walk in the sun and snow :)
And what a sweet friend Karen is. Let us know how you like the book :)
What a beautiful shot!
I'm glad to see that you are getting in outdoor walks again. Enjoy! That is a nice gift from your friend Karen - very thoughtful. Art
I love pics like that Happyone of sunrises. That's a long walk, I haven't gotten past the 3 mile range in years, how long did it take you?
