Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another sunny day : )

☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
This morning it was 31 degrees when I set out on my walk.  No wind and it was another morning when the sun rose and stayed out.  Seems like my new time for walking lately is 7:00.  I'm sure once it gets light out earlier I'll be back to my usual 6:30 time.

Like yesterday I walked the Farm Loop and then around town.  Saw a black cat crouched down in the weeds along the side of the road.  No other animals or people around.

I enjoyed feeling the sun on my face once again. : )
I walked 6.4 miles.
☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
I took advantage of the nice weather and hung my sheets outside to dry and with it being cold they always smell extra good being outside.  As most of you know I don't have a dryer and in the winter I have lines downstairs and a clothing rack for drying my clothes.

It was so nice Ken and I both thought about washing our cars but that is as far as we got.  Our cars are still dirty.

I finished knitting the two mittens for the lady that asked me to knit them for her granddaughters.  If you'd like to take a look at them, click HERE.

Every year since we've been married Ken has taken a red Christmas ball and painted  something on it from the year.  He never tells me what he is going to put on it.  The ball just pops up one day.  This is this years ball.  The initials stand for our church.  Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church.  We are so blessed to be part of this church. : )

Hope you all enjoyed your Saturday.

Nellie - No, I've never saved and framed a puzzle.  Thought about it, but never have.

I did wash my car because it has been so warm. That warm should be coming your way.
I just love the little pink mittens.

Hi Happyone, Good to hear you've had a couple of sunny days for walks. You are so reliable for posting that if I am not careful I get behind on reading your posts. That's a good thing for you and something I need to work on. Ha ha. I like that tradition Ken has of writing on a red globe for the tree. In your post yesterday ... that photo of the field with the wonderful color in the sky ... wow, that is an awesome pic. And another nice post on Christmas Day. Thanks for sharing your blog ... it's a pleasure to be following you. John

It is really good to have a day like today during this season. We didn't have a lot of sun (rain coming), but the temperature was in the low-fifties. I have a picture somewhere of a jigsaw Santa that I saved and framed to hang over the fireplace during December. I will send it to you - or - maybe I'll do a blog post on the jigsaw puzzles that are displaced in the house. Santa is the last one I've done. I seem to have filled my time with other things in the past few years.:-)

Sunshine can make so much difference in how a day feels when one is working (or walking) outside.

Ken's annual Christmas ball gift is really neat! And that is a nice testament to your church, which sounds like a big part of your lives.

It's turned cold here again and a few small snowflakes are falling today. - I went out briefly and snapped a few pictures and thought about a short walk but I've to much laundry to do for taking a walk. Thankfully I have a dryer because it would take forever to dry all the clothes I have today on a line in the house. - I love your hubby's tradition of the Red Ornament.

Those red Christmas ornaments are the neatest thing. This year's is especially sweet. I have been sleeping in these days...must stop because I am missing my Bible Study.
