Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My new Striiv has arrived : )

I am thankful for my good health that enables me to walk 6 miles everyday.
Also for the desire to walk and that I enjoy it.

This morning it was 34 degrees and the sun stayed out once it rose.   No wind which made it a very pleasant morning for walking.
The Morning Moon
It was nice walking the Farm Loop again.  I saw Farmer Bill but just waved because he was rounding up his dogs to put in the kennel.  Three of his horses were out where I could see them.
All the cows at the farm down at the other end of the FL were all in the barn this morning.  The gate is open to the field and the cows can stay in the barn or go out in the field if they want to.  I like that they have a choice. : )

Walking back in town I saw the man with the white dog walking.  I was wearing my day glow green sweatshirt and he said that no one could miss seeing me in that bright color.  Then he asked me if I was warm enough in just a sweatshirt.  I told him I had three layers underneath.

I walked 6.4 miles.

Great News!!  My new Striiv arrived today right on time. : )  You can also play a game on the Striiv and I wasn't able to keep all my data from the old Striiv to the new so I'll have to start from the beginning again but that is fine.  I had done all I could do with the game anyway.  Now I get to have a new start.
My new Striiv is in my pocket right now and I LOVE it.

It was a beautiful sunny day and the temperature got up in the 60's so I went outside this afternoon and cleared up some of the dead flowers.  Nothing blooming here anymore.

It's Monday and you know what that means.  Half price pizza at Brenda's.

I wish you moments of happiness scattered throughout your day.

Hi Karen ~ I haven't been in blog land again this week. I'll do a post later tonight explaining...did your old striiv die? Mine did. I was sad, but I guess I will have to think about getting new one too. Hope your week is going well.

You have motivated me to mention that I am thankful for two friends whom I visited today. Also, I'm thankful for the pumpkin that "volunteered" in our garden this season. I roasted one today, and it was good to be able to use it in my recipe! Enjoy that pizza! I believe I will have to work that into my menu plans tomorrow night!

Hope you enjoyed your pizza.

Pretty horses, and nice to know the cows have a choice to come and go from the barn as they please. :)
Glad to hear your new Striiv arrived!

Yay on the new Striiv!! I read something yesterday that made me think of you. It was in a book titled The Spirited Walker. She talked about finding daily miracles. Those small, seemingly inconsequential, sights, sounds, encounters etc. that come to us as we walk and how those things really are little miracles. You are so good at finding and sharing those and have really helped me change the way I see things on my walks. Thank you.

Again I admire your perseverance in walking every day. I just don't seem to be able to push myself to do that. Especially when it's cold out. Glad you got your new meter and hope you enjoyed your Pizza.
