Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your request be made known unto God.
And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 4:6 and 7

If we'd replace griping and worrying with praying and praising, we'd have peace instead of stress.  Just as the disciples did when Jesus instructed them to feed the multitude,  we tend to focus on our shortcomings instead of relying on God.  It takes a lot of energy to worry.  It takes a lot of energy to complain.  It takes a lot of energy to be upset.

God has commanded us to come to Him in prayer rather than allowing our lives to be filled with worry.  There is no problem that you face that is too large or too difficult for God.  Turn it over to Him, and you will find your strength and energy renewed.
