Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cleaning Day

Picture of the Day
Took this yesterday when we went to HT in the afternoon.
Happy Trails driveway on the right.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤

A nice bright cool clear morning and 50 degrees when I walked.  Walked around the cemeteries, down toward HT, back to and around town.
Some clouds moved in but there was lots of sun too.

Saw Lena walking and stopped to talk to her for a bit.  She lives down towards HT.  She happened to mention her daughter and said that I probably see her sometimes walking a little white dog.  I told her yes I see her quite often but didn't know her name or that she was your daughter.  Next time I see her I'll say hi Rebecca and she will wonder how I know her name. : )
The picture on the left is one of the side streets connecting the two main streets in town.  It is more like a lane and up at the end where I'm taking the picture a car is usually parked in the middle and no one could drive down it anyway.  New fence, old shed on either side caught my fancy.

I could feel Fall in the air this morning.  Though some of the trees are turning colors, most are still green yet.

I walked 6.2 miles.

Today is a home day and I got quite a bit of housework done.  Made a good start for the week.  Only in the 60's and I had lots of windows open letting in the nice cool refreshing air in while cleaning.  It was great.
My clothes dried in no time on the line in the sun and with a breeze.  Faster than if I had a dryer.

Hope your day is a happy one.

Three Thankful Things Today
  1. A beautiful Fall like day
  2. My clothes line
  3. Ken planted a few flowers in a planter that he made on the other side of the water feature.

I love those days when you can open the windows and let fresh, cool air in. Can't wait until we can do that here.

I had the back door open, and the screen in the storm door, for some fresh air. When I went to the kitchen later, I realized the rain had blown inside! I used to have a clothesline, but that didn't work so well when we started feeding birds.

Though it is late tonight, I just had to come by and visit! Love your pictures of things around town! I was a bit occupied with housework today, too.:-) No time for laundry, though.

Yes I wonder how Rebecca will react when you greet her by name, that will be a bit of fun. I enjoy your walks and the accompanying pics, always enjoyable.

Hi There, It's cooler here too this week--and I LOVE it. I am SO ready for Fall. We saw some of those gorgeous yellow wildflowers on our Day Trip last Friday... Beautiful.

Wish I had a clothes line... Things smell so good when dried outside.
Hugs,
Betsy
