Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Good Fences

My Good Fence #6
Linking up to GoodFences.  See more fence pictures or post one of your own HERE.

Good walking weather, 50 degrees with sun and clouds.  Walked the Farm Loop and around town.
I see the cows out in the field most days now.
Meet Sally
and Elizabeth.
Came across this odd looking fungus,
and this maple leaf with black all over it.  Looks as if parts of the leaf were burned.  I looked it up and the though this one has more black on it than usual the disease it has is called Tar Spot.
I saw a man I've never seen before walking a dog in one of the cemeteries and a couple of deer cross the road up by the farms.
Spotted a woodpecker at a feeder as I walked passed a yard.
Always enjoy my morning walks.
Walked 6.3 miles.

We drove up to Perkins to meet a group of people from church for lunch.  We were the first ones there and waited but no one else arrived.  Silly us - we had the wrong day.  It is two weeks from today on the 28th.

We've been outside this afternoon.  Ken continuing on his water project and I mowed the lawn and weeded.  Then sat outside on the front porch and started a book I got from the library yesterday.

Since we didn't eat lunch out, we decided to go out for supper so we are going to Brenda's later.
Have to go now and take the sheets off the line and make the bed.

Hope your day is a happy one.

There are amazingly wonderful people in all walks of life;
some familiar to us and others not.
Stretch yourself and really get to know people.

Nellie - Oh yes, we've eaten at Annie's Kitchen many times.  They have simple but good food.  Great sandwiches on thick slices of home made bread.  It is the place I went for my birthday breakfast and had that chocolate chip pancake that was as big as the plate. : )

I wondered if you'd sit down and have lunch anyway...nope. Off to Brenda's for supper instead. That's a wonderful photo...great perspective...of a country fence.

It was great to meet Sally and Elizabeth. I've never heard of "tar spot," but then, there are many things that are new to me.:-) Enjoy going to Brenda's!

Love this fence picture!!
So country :)

Well, even though you got the date wrong, at least you got to go for a nice ride together.

Enjoy your dinner date, and the rest of your evening .

I voted for Heavens Nest! I thought it said Nest. It wasn't getting many votes. Nest would have. Anyway, I changed to Happy Acre. My grandfather wrote songs (only published one) but my favorite one talks about a "Heavens Nest" so it caught my heart first. But then after I focused better and I realized it said "Next" and I saw it was very popular, etc. etc.

Nice to be here, friend. Be sure and see my post tomorrow. It will explain a bunch of stuff.

I like your fence picture and also the pictures your bovine friends. I smiled at your story about having the day wrong for your lunch out...so glad someone else does things like that too ;-) Have a great evening and I'll see you tomorrow.

Oh yes....I loved walking the tour with you. The fences and the sun filtering through your lens...so very enjoyable and relaxing. And the cattle...it all made me smile.

Sally and Elizabeth look quite sociable! :-D I like your leading fence image, too - pretty scene.

I'm behind in reading posts - hope to get caught up soon.

Hope you two have a fun weekend!

Sheets fresh off the line--the best! My Black-eyed Susans have some black leaves, only a few leaves came up this year, still not very tall. No blooms.
