Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

He Passed

Farmer Bill's Place.  Picture is from yesterday's morning walk.

58 degrees this morning and sunny when I left on my walk.  I started out walking up the two hills behind my house and stopped to said hello to Patriot and Flicker.
Then I headed up toward Happy Trails and got about half way before I turned around and came back to town.  I'm on the way back walking along the brook here.
There were quite a few rabbits around this morning.  I saw three pairs of them.  They were too fast to get a picture.

Once I got back to town I walked around one of the cemeteries and around the loop behind the ball park.
The lilacs are in bloom now and there are a lot of them around town.  I stopped many times to smell them.
I walked 6.2 miles.

This morning we went down to the MVA in LaVale for Ken to take the written test for his bus license. There is a mall right down the street so he dropped me off there while he went for his test.
Before I tell you about what I got at the mall I have some good news.  KEN PASSED HIS TEST.    Thanks for the prayers and good lucks.  : )

We left in the sunshine but going down the mountain it was very foggy and it stayed misty the whole time we were there.

I thought the mall would be a good place for me to wait and could get some extra steps in today walking around there.   I went in and out of stores just looking.  I kind of gave up on finding any skirts or dresses I liked but then I went into Christopher & Banks (a store I'd never been in before) and there they were.  I am happy to say I found two I liked and will definitely go back there again.  I also got a pair of jeans at Walmart.
When we got home I made some Welsh Cookies.  It was book club evening and one of the women who wasn't there the last time I brought the cookies had really wanted to try them so I brought some for her.

I came home with next months book - Guests on Earth by Lee Smith.

I kept some of those Welsh cookies for us too and this evening I'll be having 4 of them for my snack.  They are only 40 calories each which is a bonus since they are good too.

Hope your day was a happy day and you smiled often.

I'm glad to hear that Ken passed his test, but I never had any doubts. I love lilacs -- they have a delightful fragrance.

Yay for Ken! Yay for you, too! I have shopped at Christopher and Banks outlet just a little.

I really love the pictures on this post!

You have a knack of knowing how to fill a day with worthwhile activity.

Yay for Ken!

Listen, Lady, you have got to work on titles. I said,"Oh no!" out loud. I thought one of your farmer buddies was gone as in died. John and I have been laughing ever since!

Great skirts. That store has cute tops, sweaters, and jackets, too.

I have to admit, I thought the same thing as Vee! I'm glad it was nothing but good things today! Congratulations to Ken for passing the test, and to you for finding such beautiful skirts.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who jumped to that conclusion. I read the title and came racing over here wondering who could have passed... away. So relieved to know it was Ken passing his test. Congratulations to him.
Pretty new skirts. I have found many cute things at Christoper and Banks over the years.

Congratulations to Ken!

Especially like your photos today. What a lovely shot of Farmer Bill's place! And the ponies are sure cute! I noticed the lilacs are starting to bloom here, too.

Glad you found Christopher & Banks - they are one of my favorite stores here.

Thanks for all the visits and comments at my blog. I need to get caught up on yours. :)

Congratulations to Ken! Good job! I also love lilacs. They are so pretty but there aren't any around here. I have several things from Christopher & Banks and really like the quality. Those are very cute skirts. So glad you found something you like! See you tomorrow.

Congrats to the new bus driver. I guess I missed the post where you shared why he was getting this.

My new favorite store is koles. I had never been in the one here. Good prices and items to my taste.
