Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happy at home

I thought this Robin was injured because his wing looked funny to me and he let me get very close to take this picture.  But then he flew away.

Didn't over sleep this morning!!  Got up a little early and was out walking at 6:10.  It was only 42 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds and windy.   I walked the Farm Loop.  I walk the FL in both directions now about half and half.

The little streams are all full with water running down from the mountains.  This little stream has overrun its banks and is on Farmer Bill's land.
I turn left here on my walks but straight ahead up the very steep hill about a mile and a half is where Cherry Hill is.  It is out in the middle of nowhere but it sure is in a pretty setting.
Another stream along my walk.
Once I was back in town I walked around the two cemeteries before heading back home.  The town pond had at least 25 people around it fishing.  There was a sign up by the church with an arrow that said 'Fish Rodeo' today.  Don't know exactly what that is.

I walked 6.2 miles.

We've been at home all day today.  It's been a cool day with rain on and off so haven't been able to get the yard work done I was hoping to.  I did a VERY quick vacuum and dusting of the house and I mean very quick.

I have just put the ingredients in the bread machine for pizza dough and Ken will be making us homemade pizza for supper.

I'm going to go back to my knitting and reading till it's time to eat.

Hope your Saturday has been a happy one so far.

Vee - Yes, we plan on checking out the state forest too.
I will be walking there as well.
Mary Jo - Not sure about the tree, but cherry blossom sounds good. : )

Lovely photos, and how nice that the robin was O.K. and gave you a chance to get a closeup of him. I don't know what a fish rodeo is, either. :)

I was in the middle of composing a post and saw your new one pop up on my sidebar. Now, I must admit, that is a great title :).
Great picture of the robin and the streams too. I like the way the clouds are reflected in the water.
Was there a reason for your super quick vacuuming or were you just super energetic today?
Homemade pizza sounds like a nice way to finish the day. Enjoy.

Homemade pizza sounds so good. It will be cheese enchiladas for us tonight! A relaxing day at home is one of my favorite things. Enjoy your weekend!

Hmmmm...homemade pizza dough. I should check your recipe box for that one. Very pretty photos and I would have thought that the robin was hurt, too.

The quote at the end says it all. So very true, you can never go home again!

Have a peaceful Sunday!

I hope to hike the state forest this summer. Last fall I got lost both times I tried. The second time I needed the rangers help. Thank goodness my cell phone had a signal! Enjoy spring in your lovely town.
