Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Seeds

This morning it was warmer at 20 degrees but it was snowing again.  There was no wind at all and it was really quite nice to be out walking.
I stayed around town and just walked up and down all the streets.  I went to the farm at the edge of town to see Charlie (the steer) and the others but they weren't out in the field today.

The Killdeer were over by the town pond and though the picture isn't that great, at least this one stood still long enough for me to get a picture.
I saw two people walking dogs and walking around the loop behind the ball park saw Dave feeding his dog Saber.  His property runs along side the path and Saber is an outside dog.

I walked 6 miles.

Continued cleaning the house.  I try to do some each day and by the end of the week everything is done.

This afternoon I read a lot of my book and should finish it by tomorrow.  I'm reading Life After Life,  it is good but a different kind of book.

We were home all day so decided to go out for supper to the Mexican restaurant Canella's.  On the way home we stopped at Walmart to pick up a few things.  I got a some seeds and this seed starter tray.
This evening we will watch a little television and have our snack as usual.  We will be watching a British show called Death in Paradise which we really like.  If you're wondering what my snack will be..... I'm having chocolate chip mint ice cream.

Hope you have enjoyed your day.

Three Happy Times Today
  1. A long time of uninterrupted reading
  2. A spur of the moment going out to eat for supper
  3. Getting the seeds for my garden

Chocolate Chip Mint! My favorite! In fact, there is some in the refrigerator here!

I love the Killdeer! We will occasionally see them here.

It's good you were able to walk without the wind trying to blow you around!

Supper out is always fun!

Now that's the first ice cream that I can ever remember your mentioning. I think. Maybe it was plain chocolate chip now that I think about it. I am hoping that we skate with as little as you got. Your temps sure are low for this time of year and as far south as you are. They're low for here for that matter.

Kildeer are very interesting birds. I would love to get some pictures of their babies this year.
Your snack sounds so good. My biggest weakness when it comes to eating is ice cream. Love just about any kind but fav is Bluebell Homemade Vanilla!

Kildeer are really cool. I like how they pretend to be injured to draw you away from their chick.
