Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Snow Snow and more Snow

It was 20 degrees but the snow was coming down fast and heavy so once again I had my walk in the basement listening to disc number 7.
Another thing about wearing all those layers of clothes I mentioned yesterday is that it takes me 10 minutes to put it all on. : )

Here's my crows up by the feeder trying to find the seeds under the snow that I threw out there for them.  This picture was taken in the morning and it has continued to snow all day.
I made some chocolate chip cookies this afternoon.  That reminded me I forgot to say yesterday that at the book club I asked Sherry how her husband liked my chocolate chip cookies.  You may remember that he made some for the Drane House cookie sale so I couldn't make mine.  His cookies are well liked in town.  I had one and thought they were good but of course not as good as mine.  : )  Anyway she kind of made a face and didn't want to say anything, but finally said he didn't like them!!  I just laughed but that is the first time someone ever said they didn't like them.  Or at least the first time someone said what they really thought!!  One of these days we really should have a cookie taste off.  : )

I just took this picture out my back door of the deck and picnic table.  The snow is lighter now but it is still coming down.
We decided to wait until tomorrow before we go outside to shovel and blow the driveway clear.  The weather report has us getting 2 feet before it stops.

So today is an inside day keeping nice and warm and enjoying reading, staring another puzzle, knitting, baking and watching the snow fall.

Hope your day is happy and bright.

Vee - The high school is about 3 miles down the main road but it is far from the road and I've never looked for the track.  Sounds like something I should look into.

You have SO MUCH snow! We only ended up getting about 3 inches, then it rained, but now it's snowing again. I wanted to share something I saw today - Springbok puzzles has a photo contest and if you win you get a prize but also your picture is made into a puzzle. I saw this and immediately thought of you! Since you take beautiful photos AND like puzzles, I thought you'd be a natural for this contest! Here's the link if you want to see.

We got 14 inches yesterday in the first wave of the storm and were expecting 2or 3 more inches last night. I think we got 4-5 inches. What crazy weather. And next week it should reach 50.

Hope we don't have flooding.

He was probably jealous of your cookies. Otherwise he would have made an effort to say something nice about it.
Like, they are good, but I like mine better. LOL.

You can really see the snow pouring down in that pic. Wow. Great shot.

Now you've got me hankerin' for a chocolate chip cookie or two.
You are really getting snow, snow and more snow. Good thing you can find so many things to keep you busy indoors. Although I imagine you will be thrilled to be walking outdoors once again.
We probably ended up with about 6-8". The sun is shining today and it is so pretty. Although with temperatures in the mid 50s it's already on the way out.
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Ken.

He didn't like them? How interesting. It is time for an unbiased taste test. I'll be right down. LOL!

I've never ate a chocolate chip cookie I didn't like.
Made the sweet and sour chicken for supper. It was very good. Thanks for the recipe!
