The sun did come out and it makes everything so pretty. While the sun was out, there was some light snow still in the air and with the sun shining, the air was filled with what looked like sliver glitter floating around. It was so pretty. A picture couldn't capture it.
We've been working on the puzzle just a little so it is very slow going. But it's fun to stop by every so often and just find a piece or two. I've also done a bit more of the cross stitch.
I went outside for a couple of hours in the afternoon when it had warmed up to 10 degrees. It was a bit windy but the sun was out and the sky was picture perfect blue. I took more seed out to the birds and shoveled the driveway. I didn't have to because Ken would have done it with the snow blower but there was only a couple of inches from this last snow and I just felt like shoveling snow.
Then I just walked around the yard in the snow making tracks all over the place. : )
Got the mail and stuck my head in the door to give Ken the mail and tell him I was walking over to the library.
There was a book ready for me to pick up. It was the book for the book club meeting in March and I didn't want the book this early, so had her put my name at the bottom of the list again. That's the library on the left. You can see the wind blowing the snow off the roof.
After leaving the library I went for a little walk around town before going back home. I only walked a mile but it was nice to be outside.
I must be getting used to these cold temperatures because 10 didn't seem that cold.
When I got back in the house I had a nice cup of hot chocolate with a dab of whipped cream in it.
Well off I go to get a little reading done before supper.
Hope your day is a happy one.

Three Thankful Things Today
- Sunshine and a sparkly day
- Being able to get outside for a while
- That I live in a place that has all four seasons

Exactly how I like my hot chocolate...with a dab of whipped cream :) Glad you were able to get out a bit!!
There are so many lovely things that can not be captured by a camera.
It does feel good to stick your head out outside...if only to feel the day
when will this winter warm up?
Your descriptions are wonderful! I feel like I'm there walking with you.
I love your daily thankfulness list.
I love my hot tea with a shot of Rediwhip! Delicious!
I like the 4 seasons too. Just seems like this season we are in now is lasting a long time. LOL
Perfect for a winter afternoon - hot chocolate with whipped cream! Yum!
Have a good week-end!
Hot Chocolate sounds good! I went in and made some for myself to start my Saturday morning. Isn't it nice that you live so close to all the places you need (like the library) in your town. Progress has slowed on our puzzle too, but maybe I can do more this weekend. My son has even got a bit interested and has found some pieces. I hope things warm up a bit so you can get outside and walk this weekend. Have a good one.
I am thankful also for four seasons… Some people say that we live in the BEST area because we don't have too much heat in summer and too much snow in winter.. However, this winter the cold temps have been extremely rare for this area… I've never experienced these low temps in years and years and years…
You never mention any wildlife around (other than your birds). Do you have deer, raccoons, skunks, groundhogs, etc. like we do?????
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
