Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Still snowing

No morning walk again.  I think I just have to accept that there are going to be mornings here that I just can't go for a morning walk and on those days I will do my walking in the basement.

I baked Chocolate Chippers again this morning.  This time they are for all the people who work at Brenda's making us our pizza all the time.  We will be going there for pizza tonight (Mondays pizza is half price) and we'll give it to them.  I put four cookies in snack bags around some loose cookies in the middle.
After lunch Ken and I went for a little walk in the snow.  First stop was the library.
Then on to the Post Office.
From there we went to the Dollar General and then back home.  I left Ken at home and walked a little longer up the hill behind our house.  I couldn't walk far because I had on my snow boots and they aren't good for long walks.  It was nice to get out and walk even for just a couple of miles.

It has continued to snow here on and off all day and is supposed to continue through tomorrow.

This afternoon I'll be doing a little reading and some cross stitch.

Hope your day is happy and bright.

This Christmas mend a quarrel.
Seek out a forgotten friend.
Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust.
Write a letter.
Give a soft answer.
Encourage youth.
Manifest your loyalty in word and deed.
Keep a promise.
Forgo a grudge.
Forgive an enemy.
Apologize.
Try to understand.
Examine your demands on others.
Think first of someone else.
Be kind.
Be Gentle.
Laugh a little more.
Express your gratitude.
Welcome a stranger.
Gladden the heart of a child.
Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth.
Speak your love, and then speak it again.

We got another nice snow last night. I am ready for spring and winter hasn't started.

You understand why I like taking the cookies etc. to other people. It does make me feel happy!

Howard Hunter certainly has the right idea!

There is supposed to be a warming trend on the way here for us. I wonder if it will reach you in time for Christmas. The snow is probably with you for awhile.

Chocolate Chippers! Now, those are what else I need to bake!:-)

You are so nice to make all the cookies to give away.
You are lucky to have snow, here I think the snow will melt because of the rain we get and it looks like we will not get a white Christmas.

Snowing again? You live in a snowy little corner. Glad that you've figured out a way to get your exercise in all the same.

They're going to love you at the pizza shop! Your presentation is a very good idea.

I'm excited about your first winter in Garrett County. I wonder what it will be like? Are you counting the inches? It might be fun to walk the aisles of Walmart if you get tired of the basement. I bet walkers do it. The thought puts a smile on my face.

I miss you. And I miss your cookies!

I know the employees at the pizza place are going to love those cookies. I've been in a mood to bake lately. Only problem with that is me eating too many of them!

WOW
I just love snow.
Unfortunately I live in the tropics so it can never snow at my place.
I would love to be there.

It's funny, you are maybe 200 or so miles from me as the crow flies but like in a totally different weather zone.

As our marathon coaches tell us, "Slow miles are better than no miles, and low miles are better than no miles." So walk when you can.

Nice thing to do with the cookies, and I see from your next post that the people really appreciated it. Enjoy the day. Art
