Found those ornaments. They were down in the basement in some shaker boxes. I remembering putting them in there now to keep them safe. : )
It snowed for a couple of hours in the morning, but then the sun came out and we had a beautiful sunny day with a beautiful blue sky. Cold though - afternoon it was 16 and windy.
After lunch we went up to Happy Trails, not do any work but just hike around there for a while. I didn't get my 6 mile walk in but a hike up there of 3 miles, I think just about equals a 6 mile walk around town.
A few pictures from this afternoon.

We decided to go out for supper tonight. We went down to LaVale and tried out a steak house down there called Texas Grill House. The food was good but not excellent and I like Outback or Longhorn better. Still it was nice to go out for supper.
Home now for a little reading, knitting, cross stitching and television and snack time. That sounds like a lot to do in a few hours!! : ) I'll do some of it anyway.

Oh yeah, those twinkies (I had two) last night, they were as good as I thought they'd be. : ) I know they are not good for you but every once in while you have to splurge on something you really like.

"You know the real reason we celebrate Christmas, don't you? I mean, beyond Santa Claus and jingle bells and Christmas trees"?
"You mean because Jesus was born"? she asked.
"Yes... but did you ever think how Jesus was born? I mean, have you considered how it was such a humble birth, in a small barn... how he was laid in a hay trough... how the Son of almighty God humbled himself to be born in such lowly conditions? Have you thought about it like that? Jesus could have been born in a fine palace. After all, he was the Son of God. But for some reason God chose humble beginnings for His son. Do you every wonder why?... I think because God wanted to show that His love could reach to everyone, no matter who they were, from the poorest of the poor to great kings."

LOL! You have never looked fat a day in your life! Glad that you remembered where you had tucked the ornaments for safe keeping. Another frustration averted. I imagine that all the energy exerted at Happy Trails equals walking. I like your header!
How wonderful that you found the missing ornaments! I thought it was cold here, but it is REALLY cold where you live!:-) What fun to go hiking at HT! I love your quote from The Christmas Pony. Now I want to read that book, too!
Happy trails is looking good. And adjacent to a huge state forest? That sounds great!
I am glad you found your missing ornaments.
You do not look fat even with all of those layers on.
What a fun day! I would sure like to hike up there at Happy Trials with you one day! Enjoy your Friday!
I am a big fan of Twinkies myself. I don't remember when I had them last. So glad they are still available.
It is beautiful there, it reminds me of New England. It is so nice that you have all of the public land adjacent to you. Art
