Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Peace of Mind

Great sermon today at church about how to have peace of mind.
Six steps to bring you peace of mind.
  •  Rejoice in the Lord.
  • Don't react to things or other people in a negative way.
  • Rely on the presence of the Lord - God is always with us.
  • Refuse to worry.
  • Bring all your requests to the Lord in prayer.
  • Remember always to be thankful.
 Today's sermon was based on
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing;
but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be
known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.

I truly believe this is why I am happyone.  : )

I pray all can have peace of mind with God no matter what is happening in your life.
A blessed Sunday to you.
happyone : )

I took the picture on my walk this morning. The sky was very dark in front of me but the sun was shining behind me.  I thought it made the trees look extra pretty.

Philippians 4:6&7 are on my mind so very often these days. I loved coming here and seeing it again! Great points from your pastor today.

What a lovely picture and a great sermon. I have been working on this a lot this summer since we have been having some very serious issues with our oldest son (not Josh). Thank you for this timely reminder and sharing this wonderful sermon. I think I will print of this post and put it somewhere I can refer to it often! Enjoy the week ahead.

Good advice.

Amazing picture - Love the variation with some trees leafless, then one green and the others in beautiful fall colors. And the sermon sounds like a great lesson for us all!
