Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Found them - THANKS

We had some more snow flurries during the night and when I started walking there were a few flurries still around but they soon stopped.  The temperature warmed up to 32 degrees and near the end of my walk it was just a misty rain making a mess of things.  After walking in 10 degrees, 32 felt balmy!! : )

I couldn't see Lone Chicken and friends today because someone has enclosed part of their coop and they were all inside staying warm and dry.  I talked to them but LC didn't answer.  Though I can't see them now, at least they will be warm and dry.
Stopped to pet one of my horse friends and he must have been hungry because he tried nibbling on my hand.

I cut my walk a little bit short because the rain started coming down harder and I didn't want to get soaking wet.  I walked around town and was never very far from home.

I walked 5.4 miles - 10,728 steps.

We left after breakfast to do a couple of errands.
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions of places where we could get some mints.  Going down the road the first place we came to was a CVS - no luck there.  There was a Walgreen's across the street and that is where we found them!!!  Now we can have Thanksgiving!!  : )
This afternoon I baked some more chocolate chip cookies.  My grandkids expect them every time they visit and I wouldn't want to let them down. : )

Just staying home the rest of the day and getting some things done around the house.  It's been raining all day and it's supposed to turn colder which means things will be turning icy.  Ice is the only thing that will keep me from walking.  I will have to wait and see what the morning brings.

Have a great day, my friends.

I am glad you found the mints. I thought that they were available just about everywhere.

You look nowhere old enough to have grandchildren!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wonderful news on finding the mints. Thanksgiving will be filled with good treats.
It hasn't made it out of the thirties here today and raining all day. Hope it doesn't turn to ice for any of us.

Lone chicken will need windows or she will get cabin fever.
It's been cold and wet here in Columbia, MD today. Expecting heavy rain tonight. So thankful for a warm home.
I agree with Beth. You definitely don't look old enough to be a grandma. Mary Jo

Oh good! I love knowing that Thanksgiving can go on! Of course, those grands want Grandma's cookies. What do they call you? I have long forgotten. Mine (who call me Nonni) will arrive at 7:30 in the morning and be with me until noon. I won't get a thing of great importance done...no baking, but I may attempt washing the good dishes (that you would use every day). I still remember your arriving six years ago at Thanksgiving time and telling me that.☺

I remember those cold days in Maine, and then it would warm up to 32 or so, and it would feel balmy.

I never knew my grandmothers, but if I had I would have wanted them to bake me chocolate chip cookies (or any kind of cookie). Have fun with it! Art

So glad you found those mints! I thought Walgreens would be a good place to look!

The weather is becoming a bit of an issue here. I hope it will not interfere with anyone's travel plans.

Keep warm, and stay safe!
