Saw a whole lot of geese fly overhead and a couple of rabbits.
A boy about 10 years old drove passed me on a huge tractor pulling a trailer of manure behind him. He went about a quarter of a mile down the road from one field to another. He smiled and waved. Probably glad he got to drive the tractor instead of going to school. : )
Pretty quiet out there this morning.
I walked 6 miles - 11,760 steps.

Ken left for Happy Trails and I went outside to wash my car. Got it washed and came in to change clothes to go the produce market. Back in the car, turned the key and just a click click sound. Sounds like the battery so that ended the trip to the produce market for me.So I'm home again enjoying my alone time around the house. : ) A little work, a little fun makes for an enjoyable day.
When Ken gets home he'll deal with my car battery. Nice to have a man around to deal with those types of things. : )
Hope you are happy and well today.

I still find each day too short
for all the thoughts I want to think,
all the walks I want to take,
all the books I want to read
and all the friends I want to see.

Vee - the pizza dough recipe is the one that came with the bread machine.
Put all ingredients in bread pan and choose the dough setting.
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
There is enough dough for one thicker crust or two thinner crusts. We make two thinner crust pies. It's really good!!!

Love the Burroughs poem. And I agree with you, A little work and a little fun makes for an enjoyable day indeed :)
I believe we were actually cooler today than you were. Think we were in the mid-40's this morning.
We are having a gorgeous day here (60's)... Just perfect --and hopefully, we'll have a fire in the fireplace tonight. YEAH!!!!
Love that photo of the fog in the distance in your photo... NEAT!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
A GREAT Poem!!!
We were 43 here this morning ... Brrrrr!
Oh thanks! I found your recipe page, but it wouldn't let me in! Sorry about the battery especially since you had plans. Hope that it didn't need replacing. Wonder if the young lad on the tractor is homeschooled.
That Burroughs poem speaks my thoughts exactly.
So sorry about the battery. My husband heads to a car parts place and has them evaluate with some kind of machine to see what the problem really is. He just recently had a battery replaced at no charge due to a dead cell in it. I think the battery was still under warranty.
I told you I got a new battery, right? My car should be just fine now. It's wonderful that you and Ken are partners and can always help each other. It takes a village. Looking forward to seeing you soon :-))
A beautiful poem!
Sorry about the battery. It would be nice if they would give us a little warning that they're about to die! Mary Jo
