A random walk around town for me today. I walked up to the top of the hill behind my house and took this picture. The arrow points to the road where I walk along the farm loop.
Here I'm walking around one of the small cemeteries. I mentioned before that I like the sound the rain makes falling on the corn. The wind blowing the corn around makes a pretty neat sound too.
Just another picture where I walked today. So pretty and peaceful down here.
I saw two people walking this morning and stopped to talk to someone by the apartments in town.
Didn't see any wildlife just heard birds.
I walked 6.3 miles - 11,899 steps.
I must not walk an even stride because I notice the miles and steps are never the same.

The sun came back out again and it ended up being a pretty day with a mix of sun and clouds. One of those blue skies where the white puffy clouds make it look so pretty.
Not much happening around here today. Home doing this and that. There is a big old tree out back on the side yard and we often sit there on the grass. Today we put two chairs there and sat outside for a while under the tree.
Till next time.....
A happy day to you.

Oh now that's quite a quote...
I can imagine you having a little spot out under the tree. Can you read together without one bugging the other? I see tall glasses of iced tea or perhaps mugs of coffee. John and I have been outside on the deck exactly ONCE this entire summer. I'd really love to be out there a few more times before it gets too cold.
Sitting under the trees, hearing their leaves rustle, sounds so peaceful. I have noticed the same thing with my strive...I can do the same route and sometimes it is 2.0 miles and sometimes 2.1. I don't walk nearly as much as you, but surely do enjoy my daily strolls. Love you quote today too. Have a good one.
Sounds like a very peaceful day. Good for you two. Mary Jo
How relaxing to sit outside under the tree! I like to hear the wind blow in the corn, too.

It was a beautiful day here. I sat out on my deck after dark listening to the sound of the wind in the trees. I'm sure the chairs under your tree are more comfortable than the grass. Looking forward to sitting in one of them.
There are days when "not much happening" can be a pretty good day. Then again, any day we wake up to start a new day is a pretty good day. Art
I imagine that part of the joy of your new home are the sounds...gone is the sound of traffic, the sounds of our small city. These sounds are a part of my everyday life soo I can't say what other sounds I live with. I guess your sounds are quiet and peaceful...a lot of silence along with God's beautiful nature.
You mention the sound that falling rain makes on corn fields. It reminded me of my papaw's garden when I was little. I used to go play in the rain in the corn fields that he grew :)
