Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

An enjoyable Saturday

Another morning like yesterday, cool clear and 45 degrees.   I walked the upper road by the farms but just walked randomly around town.  In the picture you can see my shadow taking the picture.

I spotted a couple of rabbits but that's about it.  Very quiet this morning.

A state trooper sat along the road waiting for speeders but no cars came by while I walked passed.  I smiled at him and said, "good morning."

I walked 6 miles - 11,899 steps.

After breakfast we went for a ride to Reedsville, WV which is about an hour or so from home for the Wild n Wooly Fiber Festival they were having. It was small but had beautiful wool and many talented people had their knitting and weaved goods for sale.  There were also live sheep and alpacas to see.  I didn't buy anything but it was nice to just look around.
The ride there was through some beautiful country side.
On the way home we stopped at Oakland which is in MD and walked around town a little while and also along one of the walking paths that are there and walked about a mile or so.

A stop at Lowe's and the Shop and Save and then back home.

Haven't heard from the hardware store yet on when the delivery of the pellets will be, but it's not like we need them yet.  The pellet stove is in the family room which is open to the kitchen.  I'll take a picture of it and post it one of these day.

While at the Shop and Save someone did a random act of kindness for us.  We only had one item to check out and the woman in front of us had a bunch of items and told us to go ahead of her. : )    Its nice to know that there are kind people out there who think of others.  I find that happens a lot more often around here. : )

And on that note I'll say that's it for today.
Hope your day was a happy one and you smiled often.

Good thing you weren't speeding! ;^)

Do you know you were over 20 degrees cooler than we were here in Richmond at the start of the day? It sounds like you had a great day and did a lot of fun things. Keep finding joy in life! Art

Are you in a tri-state area or more? Your life in the country is agreeing with you. Your day sounds very enjoyable.

It appears that you saw more animal life while living in town ... more than you see here. I find that kind of odd. I would have expected the reverse.
