Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A new swing

45 degrees this morning, no wind and the sun came out.  Another spectacular walking morning.
Just a little pink in the sky but it sure was pretty.

Walked over to the post office first thing again and mailed off another Netflix.  We are watching the second season of Once Upon a Time trying to finish it before season three starts up on television which I think is Sunday.
Continued my walk around the farm loop.  I saw a few rabbits and then five deer ran out of the woods in front of me, crossed the street and ran back in the woods on the other side.
When I got back to the main road I walked there for a while and then turned around and went home.

I walked 6.1 miles - 11,642 steps.

We went out and about today doing a few errands and while out stopped in a store called Bear Creek Traders.  It's a touristy store and has a huge variety of things and it is fun to just walk and around and look at everything.
I ended up buying this jumbo animal coloring pad.  I love to color and thought this would be a fun thing to do on those cold snowy winter days that will be coming up. : )  I'm going to get some good colored pencils to color with.

While out walking this morning I walked past a little store in town that had a swing out front of it for sale.  I've always wanted one of these in my yard.
I told Ken about when I got home and today before coming home this afternoon Ken stopped at the store and bought it for me. : )  We put it in the back of the truck and here it is in our yard sitting under the big tree looking like it belongs there.
Sitting in the swing I get to look at this.
It's been one fine day weather wise and just a fun day all around.  It isn't quite ended yet either.  We are heading over to LaVale where there is an Applebee's where we will have supper.
Applebee's remind me of you Mary Jo, because we've had many nice lunches there.

It sure is fun having Ken retired.  : )
Hope your having a terrific day.

How awesome of Ken to buy that swing! What a nice surprise that must have been :)

And I am thinking of renting Once Upon a Time. I've heard good things about it.

What a wonderful day you have had! That swing is perfect, and it is positioned at just the right spot for that beautiful view.

That coloring book will last you a good long while if those who are forecasting the snow this winter have it wrong.:-)

Ken is such a dear to buy that and bring it home for you; I would adore a swing like that, and your view is very relaxing. Have fun coloring.

What a great view from your sweet swing. You have better foliage than we do!
