I really felt way out in the country along this road and it was beautiful scenery all along the way. This road runs parallel to the main road about a mile away.
I walked passed a few farms and here's some of what I passed.
These roosters were making a lot of noise at the edge of a farm.
The only wild life I saw were birds.
I walked 6.1 miles which was 11,596 steps for me.

Ken worked on cleaning the outside of the trailer and it looks brand new. When you go inside the trailer it still has that brand new smell to it.
I was inside this morning getting more housework done. I like to work till lunch time or so and then do some fun stuff. : )

Came across my hummingbird feeder, made the sugar/water solution, filled the feeder and hung it right by the back window over the kitchen sink. Saw a hummingbird in the front by the flowers the last few days so hoping it will find the feeder in the back. Still no birds at the feeders, though I sure hear a lot of birds around.
Walking around the yard today I snapped a few pictures of some things hanging around in the garden.
Third day in a row that it was a beautiful sunny day.

A fish that keeps track of how much rain we get.
A turtle that has lived in three of our yards.
A couple of lady bugs.
A frog who keeps the hose from damaging the flowers.
And a little toad who has made a home in an old shoe.
The rest of the afternoon I think I'll read some blogs and then read some more of Little Dorrit. Haven't gotten very far with it yet but I do like it.
We've decided we to go out to eat this evening. There is a Mexican restaurant over in Oakland that we have been meaning to check out.

Those critters for your garden sure are cute! Sounds like another good route for walking.
Such beautiful countryside in your new corner! I love pastoral scenes and those are some fine ones. My niece's chickens are all over the place...she lets them run free range...already has lost two of six. Apparently, half the town is raising chickens! Ever thought of that for yourselves now that you're out in the country?

Sounds like a nice rural walk. I usually take the dog on a short loop road we live on every day, but not as far as you walk.

How fun to be exploring new walking routes and new restaurants in your new neighborhood. This farm route looks like a lovely way to start the day.
