Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happy 4th

I marched down our driveway last evening at Happy Trails with our flag to hang it out at the end of the driveway.  I'm wearing one of Ken's old work shirts (nicely ironed) to keep the bugs from biting me.
Here the flag flies at the end of our driveway.
Tomorrow we will be in town for the 4th of July festivities.  There will be a parade, craft booths, music to listen to and fun events during the day.

Today we are headed over to another town about 20 miles away called LaVale.  Supposed to have a mall there.  Going to check the place out.

A happy day to you.
Happy 4th!

Love the look of a white shirt, and jeans. :-)

Good for you. you have a flag.

Enjoy your new town, on the 4th. And looking around, in another town.

This is still just fun, fun, fun. Hooray!

Have a Happy 4th Of July!

Turns out that your time between houses is being well-spent. Pam has a favorite restaurant in LaVale. I'll have to find out what it is. The artisan villge is a great find. I hope you go to Swallow Falls. It's just so scenic there and you can walk the trails.

Happy July 4th! Glad you hung your flag!

Love your flag.... Glad you are going to the 4th of July festivities... Ours have all been cancelled due to the rain...We are under a flood watch.

You are not far from Frostburg. My niece went to college there. We stayed in Cumberland last year for a night... Love that area.

Happy 4th of July. God Bless America.
Hugs,
Betsy

Happy 4th to you, Karen! I had to smile that you are still ironing, even while staying in your trailer ;-) Sounds like me! Do you enjoy a fun small town fourth. Just want you to know that you and Ken have inspired Charly and I to think about moving to a smaller town and slowing down once we retire - but that is still a few years off. Have a great day!

What a lovely patch of land you have up there. But I bet it will be nice to have 4 regular walls around you soon.
