Very few people out but it is Monday and it is usually quiet then.
I saw the white egret flying around, counted five deer and saw and heard all the geese waking up and saying good morning. Boy they are noisy!!
The path around the lake here is about three quarters of the way around.
Here I am just getting home. That's my townhouse there on the corner through the pretty colored tree.
I walked 6.5 miles.

Started a load of laundry first thing when I got back home. One more load followed that one and then hung both out on the line.I took some of those granny smith apples we bought the other day and before I ate them all up I made an Apple Cobbler with some of them.
Apples cooked with some sugar, water, and lemon juice and sitting in the baking dish waiting for the topping to be put over them before baking.
Topping on, baked and ready to eat.
It will be hard to wait for snack time tonight before eating some of it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!!I had a recipe from Pampered Chef for an apple crisp. It had cranraisins in it too and was made to go in the deep dish pie plate. I was going to make that but couldn't find the recipe. I looked high and low and it was nowhere to be found. Does anyone have that recipe? I've tried to find it on line at Pampered Chef. There are apple crisp recipes there but not the one I had. I got it about 8 years ago at a party.
I also made Three Bean Salad (super fast and easy) to go with the chili (that I made last week) hot dogs we are having tonight for supper.
I ironed a few of Ken's shirts so I could watch an episode of I Love Lucy which I just bought. I started Season 6. The first episode is where Lucy meets Bob Hope at a baseball game!
Still have to get those clothes off the line, folded and put away and clean up the kitchen. This day is just flying right by. Still hoping to be able to get some reading in before Ken gets home.
A happy Monday to you.

Apple Crisp/Apple Cobbler with vanilla ice cream is my FAVORITE dessert. Yum-O!
Yummmmmmmmmmm!
And oh you have one of those gorgeous trees, near you too! The one near you, is hanging-in-better than the one near me though. Red leaves mostly gone here... -sigh-
Oh I wanted to ask... With just the 2 of you, how do you finish off a full dessert like that? I mean, without eating it, too much, too fast? Or/and without it going soggy?

Apple crisp sounds so delicious in this early fall weather. I like I Love Lucy too, such a talented gal and entire cast.
That first photo of the orange leaves reflected in water is fabulous!
I love anything made with apples!
The tree is gorgeous.
Yum... that looks good and I'll bet it smelled even better as it was baking. Sorry I can't help you out with the Pampered Chef recipe.
Hmmm...bet that cobbler is making the house smell fantastic. I think it's lovely of that tree to turn a color that matches your home so perfectly. Hmmm...I'll ask my friend B. She's been to every Pampered Chef party in 16 counties. =)
