Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Back to my lake

It was nice to get back to walking around my lake this morning.  A lot warmer down this way too.  Temperature was 53 degrees, though it was a misty morning.
Spotted a couple of deer and some rabbits.
A handful of people out enjoying the early morning walking around the lake.  My friend Lin called and as we walked we talked longer than usual.  She called almost half way into my walk and we said good bye when I was near home.  So I didn't take any pictures this morning!!
By the time I got home some blue sky was starting to show.
I walked 6.5 miles.

I got a couple of loads of laundry hung up outside and then sat in front of my computer and got caught up with some blog reading.  I spent a lot longer than I wanted to but at least now I'm all caught up, at least for now! : )

After sitting for a bit too long I went through the house and ended up getting a lot of cleaning done.  It's amazing how much you can get done if you just put your mind to cleaning and don't get side tracked doing other things, which is very easy for me to do when I have to clean.
I have mentioned before how much I really hate cleaning the tile in the shower.  There is a lot of it and though I clean it often it still is hard to keep clean.  I've tried all kinds of products and I don't really like anything I've used.  I went on line to find out what others are using and someone said to just use white vinegar.  I put it in a spray bottle and sprayed.  Let it sit for 20 minutes and then went back with a brush and scrubbed, then rinsed and dried.  I'm happy to say that it worked quite well.  A lot of the cleaning products I've used always leave me coughing and having to leave the room for a bit so it was nice to just use the vinegar for that reason too.
Do you have a favorite product that you use or some home remedy that works good for you?

I'm just taking a bit of a break here from cleaning.  Still have to fold the clothes.  Don't think I'm going to get to the ironing today.  I'm still hoping to get a little reading in before Ken gets home from work.
I feel an urge to change the look of my blog - maybe in the next day or two I'll actually do it! : )

I didn't have any pictures for this post so I took a picture of my computer.  It sits in my kitchen and here is where I come to visit with my friends. : )
That's been my day so far.  Hope you had a sunny day.

I love this quote and think it can be said of some people too.

How beautifully leaves grow old.
How full of light and color are their last days.

Oh this is so cute! A picture of your computer!

'Happy Trails' is north, of your home position... From what you said about the temp.

Wondering what would make it much easier on you... When you come home from a longer time away from your Net connection, at home???

Well, the simplest thing, would be to simply tell your Dear Readers that you will not be able to devote the time to such "catching-up." (Wisdom, if I do say so myself.)

Ask your Dear Readers to tell you in a comment on your first post, when back home.... Tell you there, if something/anything BIG has happened in their life, since before you were away. Really! Really! Really!

Most of what we all post daily, is not of great importance. Few have huge, or awful, or super-wonderful happenings, over the span of a few days.

Please, decide not to try to sit and catch up. Please say what I said above, and go on. Real Friends will not make you go and read EVERYTHING. Since you went to 'Happy Trails.'

Walks seem to go faster when a friend is along. It sounds as though you have had quite a productive day - even without taking care of the ironing.:)

I enjoy reading your daily posts and I appreciate the fact that you take the time to get caught up with your blogging friends when you can.
