Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

It was 68 degrees this morning when I started my walk.  It was spritzing rain during my whole walk but not enough to get me wet, just a little damp.  It was pretty much dry under the trees and when I walked out from under them the rain felt good and I stayed pretty cool. : )
I didn't walk any special route, just walked here and there and turned up paths and streets that hit my fancy.
Came across this little footbridge.  I've only walked here once before.  It's private property so I just walked over the bridge and turned around and walked back over it.
I've put the picture taken from the other side of the bridge on my photo blog - if anyone cares to take a look, click HERE.

I came across few people.
There were three deer along one of the paths and a couple of rabbits.  A pretty quiet walk and one that I enjoyed.

When I don't walk a route that I've mapped out, I have a tendency to walk a little bit farther.  I'm just enjoying my walk and don't realized how far I've walked.  That is what I did today and ended up walking 7.4 miles.

I read somewhere that Wednesdays are the best days for food shopping and I have found this to be true so I usually go to the commissary on Wednesday mornings.  Made a trip there today and now my pantry is nicely stocked once again.
A good trip to the store.  Made sure I stopped for all of those yellow lights so there was no chance of going through a red one! : )
Not many people out shopping and I was in and out pretty quick with no lines to wait on.

Now that everything is put away and I've had my lunch I'll do a few chores around the house and then I'm not sure what I'll be doing.  Sometimes I have so many things I want to be doing it is hard to decide what I what to do most.  I guess that is better than being bored and having nothing to do. : )

Hope you're keeping busy today doing something you are enjoying!!

The dryer died. We had to go buy a new one. The dial went and it would have been nearly $200 to replace. Whine, whine, whine. Wonder if Wednesday is good at Wal*Mart. ☺

Love the little foot bridge. We usually shop on Friday night or Saturday morning and have for years, but around here most sales run Tuesday to Tuesday so selection of sale items might be better on Wednesday. It is so nice when you have a lot of choice in your life about what you want to do and when you want to do it. Enjoy the rest of your week!

I think I told you before--but I love your new blog look.

We do our grocery shopping on Wednesdays... BUT--our reason is different. Kroger's gives a 5% discount to Seniors on Wednesdays... SO--that is why we do it....

Hugs,
Betsy

I didn't realize that about Wednesdays..... but I do find in my area - that there is less traffic on Wednesday mornings .... not sure why that is.

Morning is a favorite part of the day for me. I don't really mind how hot the rest of the day is, if the early mornings stay in the 60's, I'm happy.
Seems there's more oxygen outside then, and it's easier (for me, anyway) to breathe.
You are fortunate to have such a nice area to walk in.

My favourite time to food shop is on a Monday - (one of the food stores has a Monday madness discount day) - but the weekend I am down with my Mother I have to go on a Sat. I wish I could get motivated for walking on a morning but since retirement I have always done my chores in a morning and walked later in the day (not sure I would get my chores done if I walked first thing!)
