Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Names?

I forgot to take a look at the thermometer before I left this morning but it sure felt hot and sticky.  I walked along my connect the path route.  It is a good route because most of it is in the shade.  I walked along this path which takes me over six footbridges.
I walked along this sidewalk taking me to another path.
I walked down four different paths and three sections of sidewalk.  Makes for a nice variety.
Called my mom on my walk to wish her a Happy Birthday.  She is 82 today.
There were a few people scattered along the way.  Stopped for a little chat with  Petey and John.  For those of you who are new to my blog they are a 90 year old couple who walk 2 miles every morning.
Saw many rabbits and birds but no deer.

In the Giant parking lot I found a nickel and a penny.
I walked 6.5 miles.

You may have noticed I changed the look of my blog. : )  Just got tired of looking at the old one.  I picked some different colors that I've never used before.  It took me forever to pick out something I liked!!

After the blog time, I spent the rest of the morning doing my ironing.  I had my laptop there with me and went to YouTube to find something to listen to while I ironed.  So I sang hymns with Elvis while I ironed and it seemed the ironing was done in no time. : )

We are headed back up to our land late this afternoon when Ken gets home from work.  We still haven't come up with a name but when we talk about it we say we are going to the country.  My plan is to have our land like our own private park with walking trails all through it so I thought somewhere in the name should be park.  It's also hilly and bears are known to be about.  One name we have kicking about is Bear Hill Park.  I'd love to hear any suggestions anyone might have.

Hope life is treating you good today. : )
A smile from me to you.

How do you feel when you're going to the country? Are there bears there? What other physical details does it have?

BTW, I like the look of your blog. Change is always nice.

Happy Birthday to your mom.
Your blog look is very nice. I like the cheerful colors. For some reason it makes me think of Goldie Hawn in the Laugh In years.
You found a really nice way to make the ironing more pleasurable. Can't go wrong with Elvis, in my opinion.
I think going to the country sounds very nice, but I'll be thinking of potential other names.
Have a good weekend.

Happy Birthday to your mom!!

Perhaps your names, example, Jack and Jill's Bear Hill Par.

I am sure you will find exactly the right name.

Happy Birthday to your Mom, you are so blessed to still have her! Love your new blog look - very colorful. Vee is right, change is nice. I'll give some thought to a name, although honestly, I like the one you're kicking around. Enjoy yourselves at your "other home"!

Love the new blog look.... So bright and cheerful....

Whatever name you choose will be fine with me... The only thing I will say is not to make it too long... You need something simple ---like you say 'country'--- that will stick!!!!! What county are you in????

You'll have fun thinking of a name....
Hugs,
Betsy

Great colour choice - very summery and cheerful. So good to hear Petey and John are still out there walking. Many happy returns for your Mum - I have just spent a lovely week with my 85 soon to be 86 year old Mum. Have a great time at Bear Hill Park (great name)

YES! Of course I noticed your new blog look! It's so bright and peppy, but the post-part, is still calm and easy to read. Yesssssssssss!

And the background color of the read-the-post part is soooooo beautiful!!! Some sort of gentle peach, perhaps? LOVE it.

Happy Birthday to your mom.

You two just keep bouncing names around, yourselves. Please. 'Cause IMHO, something as personal as a home name, should be though up by and loved by.... The people themselves.

And anyway, it's a fun project, to go along with the already fun project of fixing all this up. Who wants to abdicate any fun projects, hu??????? :-)

Have a great weekend!

What a cool bridge. Happy BD to your mom - she, I, your son, and my surviving sister are all July babies.

Names are always tough. How about "Walker Haven?" The right name will come to you in a flash. We named our beach place "Luna-Sea." Have a happy weekend. Art

Love the new blog look! My husbands grandparents named their lake house Weeneeda Rest. Good times up on that lake! You have adventures ahead, for sure!
