Snapped this walking in the back parking lot of the school |
Today I walked one of my connect the path routes. I like these routes too because it is a change from the lake and gives a good deal of variety to my walk.
There were just a few people out but they were all on the sidewalks. Didn't come across anyone at all on the paths.
It was just me and the six deer that I spotted and lots of birds. I watched a Robin getting that early morning worm for breakfast. She dropped it a few times but finally got it and then flew off with it. Maybe it wasn't for her after all, but for her babies waiting for breakfast back at the nest.
It was a nice peaceful walk and I walked 6 miles.

It's Tuesday and knitting day. We have moved from inside the mill to outside in a courtyard of a little mall last month but the weather was bad a couple of weeks so we still met inside and I didn't go last week. So this was the first time outside for me this year. It was a bit on the cool side but still a nice day with sun and clouds. I worked on sewing weave-it squares on the blue and white baby blanket I'm making which kept me warm on this cool day. : ) I'm just about done with only 10 more squares to make and then sew. I should be done by Sunday! I didn't count how many of us were there but I'd guess about 15 of us. A woman walking by stopped and asked me about the blanket I was working on and I invited her to join our knitting group. Who knows maybe she'll join us next time.
I usually stop at the library on the way home but I passed right by it this today. I'm reading a book of my own and thought this would be a good time to read a few more of the books from off my shelf. I'll see how many I can get read before the library calls to me.
I won't be having a snack tonight because after lunch I let a piece of birthday cake out of the freezer and had to eat it. There are still three pieces left in there. And by the way the cake freezes very well even with the whipped cream.
I'm going now to dust off my book shelves which means I'll be rearranging them a bit too. I have them all in alphabetical order by author now with fiction and non fiction altogether. I'm going to sort the books into categories. Changing the books around helps me to dust the books and shelves properly.
Don't forget to look for your happiness today and be thankful for it.

I love the sound of your knitting group, able to sit outside and knit together. I'm not really a knitter but still like the sound of it!
Your days sound so fun!
Oh your description of letting the birthday cake out of the freezer made me laugh. I've freed a lot of things myself. Ha! Lovely blue sky up there...wish I had some to report.
I wouldn't be able to resist that cake either. :-)
So nice of you to free that piece of cake :).
How great to be still enjoying your birthday cake - I am afraid I would have eaten it all before now! I didn't go to my slimming group this week as I had got behind with lots of chores so decided to stay home. I miss the contact with the group though. Enjoy sorting your books.
