We knew building would be out of the question with the snow so we decided to drive back down home and load up those trusses that Ken made and haul them back up here.
We first made a stop at the building site to check out things there and this is what we saw.
Here's my hand in the snow.
Then we took off for the old house and loaded up the trusses. Once down the mountain there was a lot less snow and the temperature warmed up quite a bit. Eventually we didn't see and snow and the sun came out. Back home it was sunny and 50 degrees when we were there. We made a stop at Lowe's to buy a pedestrian door for the shed and a couple more boards that we needed. Stopped at home too, to drop off some things we didn't need and pick up a some things that we did need.
Here we are in our driveway with the trusses in the truck. Ken loaded them nice and secure and we made it back up to our land through snow, hail, sun, and rain.
We went directly to our land and unloaded the trusses and here they sit.
From there we went to Brenda's for supper again and then back to the rental house. Tomorrow is supposed to be clear and in the high 40's here so hopefully we will be able to get some work done.It was kind of nice having a little break from building. : )
This was a different day than expected but not unwelcome.
The building saga will continue tomorrow!!
A happy day to you.

Oh no, it's not supposed to snow in April!
All the best with the building project tomorrow. Hope that you're getting rested up. I can't believe that snow and I hope that it's not coming this way.
Brrr, chilly, but I can see you are not deterred.
Crazy weather!!!! We are under a freeze warning tonight ---so hope we don't have much damage to our Roses and other flowers... Oh that ole mean Mother Nature...
Glad you had something to do today ---so you obviously made good use of the snow day!!!! Hope tomorrow is better.
Hugs,
Betsy
How far is it from your home to your land? I hope the snow thaws pretty fast and you get some finer weather to finish your building. Good luck.
You have to go with the flow!!! -grin-

I'll trade you! We're having some rain today and a little snow would be fun for us here in the south!
Wow, wow and wow! What an adventure!
