Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Ready to go

Keeping off my leg as much as possible yesterday and today has really improved my leg.  I'm not limping nearly as much now.

I took the cookies I baked yesterday over to church this morning for the Egg Hunt tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning we are leaving to go to our land to start building the first building which will be the shed.  I have packed my suitcase and just have to add a few things in the morning that I still need to use tonight.  It was pretty easy to pack because I'm taking mostly work clothes - old jeans and sweat shirts.  I do have a pair of decent looking jeans too for when we go out for a bite to eat.  I not bringing any makeup at all!!

We have rented a house near our property for the week so have a nice warm and comfortable place to spend our time when not working.  It is off season so we were able to get a whole house quite cheap.  A lot cheaper than if we were to stay in a hotel.  The house is really nice and even has an Internet connection so I'm bring my laptop and will still be able to blog once in a while when we're away. : )

Looking forward to getting up to our land.  Just hope we have some nice and pretty warm weather!!

Till next time........
keep a smile ready. : )

Hi Karen, Love your thumbnail picture --and your shorter hair..... Pretty!!!!

Sorry that your leg is still bothering you--but glad you finally decided to take it easy for awhile. You probably did PUSH yourself too fast... Please take care.

Glad you rented a house near your property... Let sweet hubby do MOST of the work and you continue to take care of that leg... BUT--take some pictures for us please.

Happy Easter.
Hugs,
Betsy

Tried to send you an email, but it came back, as undeliverable..... ????

If your leg is that much better, from staying off of it, for 2 days....? How much better would it be, if you stayed off of it, longer?

I am glad your leg is better. Do be careful of it while you are working on your property.

Reminds me of when my dad built our cabin in W.Va. They got a small camping trailer and we stayed in it while he worked on the building.
Those were good times, those times of sharing and helping each other in a mutual endeavor.
Good exercise, too, and a lifetime of good memories.

Hey, Lady ~

The park misses you. I've been wondering where you were....kept forgetting to get on here when I got home.

I sure know what you mean about finding it tough to take the time to allow things to heal....but be careful. I didn't scroll back to see exactly what you did but there are definitely things you can make worse if you don't allow them to heal.

Looking forward to seeing you back....ooh, almost forgot. I saw a piebald deer yesterday...near the 9/11 memorial....beautiful and such a surprise.

Later, Barb

I'm trying to take a blogging break, but failing a bit. However, I am glad to hear that your leg is a bit better and hope this means it will be completely better soon.
I must say the rental house sounds preferable to the back of the truck :).
Your new venture is so exciting and I look forward to following along with you.
