Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking and home

We had a dusting of snow late yesterday afternoon and into the evening which made for a pretty walk this morning.  It was a chilly 27 degrees and there was a slight breeze.  I walked over to the lake.  Walked part way around with Carol till her son called and then she turned around and walked and talked with him.
I didn't take the upper part of the path, but passed up my usual way home and turned up the path just before this red bridge which takes me to another park entrance.  I took the picture the first time around.
Walking up that way I saw my one and only deer this morning.
Barb called out to me from behind and I walked down to her and then we walked up to the entrance together.  Once there she turned left and I turned right to go home.  Crossing the street was easy because some road equipment was driving across the street and had traffic stopped, so I just cross with them.
Walking along the road I stopped on a bridge to look down at the water.
A very nice walk this morning.  It is nice walking a little way with other people for short distances.  There are so many people I would never have met if it weren't for my walks.  Another good reason for walking - making friends!
This morning I walked 7 miles.

Home today again just doing this and that around the house.  The Help came in the mail today from Netflix we we will probably watch that tonight.  We both read the book and are looking forward to seeing the movie.

Ken said something about going out when he gets home from work so we will stop and grab a bite to eat while we are out.

Till next time......

Oh that's a good quote, too. I think I've had plenty of infirmities of character through the years.

Looks as if you walked in a confectioner's sugar world this morning. We're supposed to get a bit of snow Saturday. There's been a lot of melting the past few days.

Enjoy your evening!

That snowfall does look pretty, as does the picture of the water.
It is indeed nice that you've met new friends on your walks.
Enjoy your evening and movie.

Hi Karen, We may get a little snow this weekend... BUT--the temp on Sat. night is supposed to go down to about 13--and we may lose some of our new spring growth. Sigh!

Hugs,
Betsy

Love both those pics. Especially the red bridge with the dusting of snow.

A morning with a dusting of snow, is magical. We haven't had one, for a while. -pout-

Oh, that poem is so true. We are the only ones who suffer when our pride and unyielding spirit get in the way. It isn't so hard to admit failings when you see Christ's love inspite of our failings.

I agree, the touch of snow brings such a glorious accent to the world around us and I admire you for being out there in 27 degree weather! Now I'm heading out to walk, but it is about 35 degrees here this a.m.
