Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Bible verses to learn

I didn't walk this morning!!  Having to leave early to get to Sunday school just didn't leave me enough time.  I'll have to get up a bit earlier on Sundays.

There are four Bible verses that go along with our Sunday school classes that we were asked to learn.  No pressure, you don't have to, but I am going to.  I thought that by writing them down would be a good way to start. : )

Isaiah 40:28-31
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak.
And to those who have no might
He increases strength,
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
The shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

We went out for a little while this afternoon to do a few errands.  Later I'll make some dough in the bread machine and Ken will make pizza for supper and we will have a nice evening at home.

Hope all is well in your part of the world and that your Sunday is a happy one.

Hi Karen, Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you. May the best team win!!! I personally am for the Giants --but I truly just hope it is a good game. Anxious to see some great commercials also!!!

Great scripture --and one in which we all need to read over and over. Thanks!
Hugs,
Betsy

Does that mean homemade pizza to watch the Super Bowl by? John and I had to read a Football for dummies article on the web, but now we feel prepared to watch and enjoy a little. It'll be veggies and dip for us.

I don't think one can ever go wrong to memorize scripture and that's a particularly good one.

The last 4 lines of this scripture are what Rob and I rested on during the tough time of his auto accident. Love reading your blogs.

What a comfort to know that God will renew our strength. So often we think that we just can't go one step further. But He is able to help us, if we will just wait for Him.
