Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

One fine day

Oh the weather was wonderful this morning for walking.  64 degrees and very low humidity!  I walked around the lake today and a lot of others were out enjoying this beautiful morning too.  Quite a few fishermen were at the lake and I even saw two women fishing.  What are the called fisherwomen? : )

I heard the drill sergeant yelling at the group from across the lake!  It must have been the last day for this group because when I passed them near the front part of the park they were all getting their pictures taken.  I bet they are glad that's over with!!

Just yesterday I was saying that I haven't seen the heron or egret in quite a while and today I saw both of them!  I guess they were hiding out keeping cool.
Lots of lily pads here in this picture.  Can you spot the two ducks there?
Leaving the lake and walking the path on the way home I came across a mom deer and her little one.  I started taking pictures a ways back and this is the closest I could get before they ran away.  I probably could have gotten closer but a runner came up behind me.
It was a great walk today with such nice weather.
I walked 6.7 miles.

I usually do my Body Electric workout in the afternoon but today I did it as soon as I got home from my walk.  I'm not crazy about doing that workout and have to make myself do it so it was nice to get it over with!  I feel so good when I've done it though and I try to remember that feeling!!

The beautiful day continued and I hung a couple of loads of laundry out on the lines to dry and then ate breakfast out on the deck.  Read my Bible there too.  Then came inside to get some house work done.  Worked until lunch time - 1:30.  Had a few other things I had to do and then I visited with some of you. : )

Later in the afternoon I sat out on the deck making a few weave-it squares.
I looked up and took this picture of the blue sky and the clouds.
Now I'm inside and when I get finished with this post I have to figure out what to have for dinner.  Ken should be getting home any time now. : )

Hope you enjoyed your Thursday.
A smile from me to you.

I too enjoyed this fantastic weather, all day has been absolutely beautiful, and everyone I met today was in good spirits.
good for you, all that walking...and Body Electric, too? Wow! I used to do that with the TV, back when I was much younger. Seems like the lady's name was Maggie something; it was on a PBS station.

What a gorgeous day!!! We deserve it, we earned it, thank you God!! I can't believe after walking 6 to 7 miles DAILY, you do Body Electric exercises too. You get seconds on dessert!! I didn't find the ducks but loved the deer picture. I know what you mean about taking pictures, always someone coming up behind or around you (I have the same issue). Sounds like you have a great day too. I hear we're in store for a few more, hope they're right!

I love the weather on Thursday. Today should be another great day.

I walked outside on Thursday ... the first time in a long time. So much better than a treadmill.

Noofy, I only do Body Electric 3 or 4 days a week. I still have to watch what I eat. No two desserts for me. I wish I could! : )

We are having a slight break in the heat and humidity too. Isn't it heavenly? Love your picture of the blue sky and clouds.
I am very impressed that you do the Body Electric right after your walk. I can imagine it must feel very good to accomplish all of that first thing in the morning.
Hope your weekend is Happy :).
