Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Once again I was out walking early at 5:30.  The air felt cool when I first started and it took a while before I was hot and sweating.  I'm glad I left early.  Another reason I was glad I left early was that I got to see the sun rise.
I walked around the lake and went the opposite direction that I usually do.  There was a about a dozen people running all together in a tight group.  I was glad we were going in different directions and that they all passed me because then they couldn't run me off the path!  The other group of people were with the drill sergeant and they were all running too but not in a tight group.  They are all teenage girls this time except for one woman who was way behind all the others.  She stopped to talk to me.  She said the girls are training for some event and she is just trying to get in shape again. DS yelled at her and she continued on her way.  I said Good Luck as she ran away!

I always see a lot of rabbits along the bunny trail and today I counted them.  There were 13 of them, a bakers dozen.
A few geese in the lake.  I'm pretty sure its a mom, dad, and three young ones, because they all stayed close together.  They were all headed to land but turned around when they saw me.
I enjoyed being out early and walking.
Today I went 6.2 miles.

Today I decided to go to the mall and see what I could find in the way of dresses.  I don't need one for an event or anything but I don't have very many and thought I'd get a couple to wear to church. I don't have very many and I'm getting tired of the ones I have.  As I was walking in and out of the stores and not finding anything that I liked I realized once again how much I really dislike shopping.  So I came home with nothing at all.  But that's okay, I got some more walking in. : )

Just hanging out at home this afternoon doing this and that.

When I checked my email earlier there was prayer request from my church for our pastor.  He had a stress test this morning and was found to have a 90% blockage of the main artery and tomorrow morning at 9:30 he is scheduled for an angioplasty.  I was so surprised because he is a thin man and has always seemed to be healthy.  He just turned 60 in March.  Pastor Simpson is a wonderful man and who practices what he preaches who we all love.  I ask you who pray to please say a prayer for him.  Thank you.

A happy day to you.

Heart disease is an equal opportunity one, unfortunately. I'm sure you've heard of Jim Fixx. Yes, definitely, I will pray for your pastor's procedure to go very well. He's going to be feeling so much better soon. That's what I love about the 21st Century.

The geese did turn back just to say hello to you. Very sweet.

Love the ongoing and funny story about the DS. She sounds like quite the pip.

Isn't it interesting? You can walk and see sunrise, in winter and in summer...

I hate shopping too! So I do all mine, on the Net. I have (few) places I like and get all-my-cotton-things, there. :-)

Sorry about your pastor, but I'm sure he will have stents, and be fine.

But this is a WAKE-UP-CALL to all who consider themselves healthy, thin, fit, etc. Looks can be deceiving. Get your testing done, and listen to it.

:-)

You can't always tell the health of a person by their body ... sometimes, but not always. And heart disease is something that can hit anyone.

That sunrise was beautiful!

I bought 3 sundresses last year from Macy's that I wear often. Like you, I don't like clothes shopping at all!

I like your morning sky.

How nice to start your day with the sunrise.
I don't enjoy shopping for clothes and find malls to be overwhelming. I've had good luck finding dresses recently at Ross. Can't beat their prices.
I'm sorry to hear about your pastor and will include him in my prayers tonight.
