Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

How I spent my day

A morning with low humidity and sunshine made for a very pleasant walk.  I walked pretty much the same route as yesterday along roads and through the woods on paths but went in the opposite direction.
One of the footbridges I walked over.
Stopped on another footbridge to take this picture.
Only a few people out again and not much wildlife either, but I did see two blue birds!
I found two pennies by the liquor store which brought my total of coins this months to $1.37.
Three quarters, three dimes, one nickle, and 17 pennies.
I walked 6.4 miles.
After my walk I stayed out front and was watering my plants.  A woman I see sometimes  walking around the lake who I say good morning to was walking her dog past my house.  I knew that she lived in the same townhouse complex that I do but she didn't realized that I did.  She stopped to talk and she asked me about my walking.  She said she sees me walking all over the place.  After answering the usual questions she asked me if I had Jesus in my life.  I said I sure do.  She then said, I thought so because I always see you with a smile and you seem to have joy deep down inside and no one can have so much joy without Jesus.  Wow!!  What a nice thing to say and to hear. That certainly made my day!! : )

I had to make a trip to the post office to mail something and then I stopped at WalMart to pick up a few things. It was a little after 12:00 by the time I got home.  I've been trying to wash my car all week and I finally got around to washing it before I had lunch.  It takes me about 45 minutes to get it washed.  I didn't vacuum the inside though.  I don't have to every time I wash it because I keep it super clean inside.  No food or drink allowed in it.

After lunch I did some house chores and then made some weave-it squares with the new yarn that I bought.  I'll be telling you about my next weave-it afghan that I've started on a future post.  I also did a little bit more on the jigsaw puzzle that I started the other day.  It has only 500 pieces and I should have been finished with it by now, but I haven't been had a change to work on it much.
Well, it will soon be supper time once again and I've got to go and figure out what we're eating tonight.
Till next time.........

Hope all is well in your part of the world and your Thursday was a good one.

I think it’s great that you are so faithful with your walking. Over 6 miles a day is really an accomplishment. Isn’t it great when we run into other believers, great story, thanks for passing it along!

Let's see, in the interest of time...one comment for three posts because I am nosy and had to know what's been going on. First of all, this post...great thing for the lady to say. She didn't have to, but doing so really gave you some quality feedback. Yes, there are some people whom are just tough to like. That said, sometimes those people have turned out to be very close friends. My closet friend, in fact, was one of those people. I believe that she'd say the same of me. I really enjoyed the discussion of your favorite walking weather and why. Without the question from V, you might never have analyzed it so thoroughly.

I wish we could have more weather like what we've had these past two days, just perfect. How nice to meet a new friend who shares the same beliefs. You definitely keep moving all day, great day for a car washing. I look forward to hearing about your new afghan. Don't worry about the puzzle, save it for a rainy day, you know we're due. Thanks for the response of font help. I'm sure you're right, the difference between a PC and a MAC.

And yet another interesting foot bridge.

Have you counted all the foot bridges, in all the area you walk? :-)

And wondering who maintains them? Is it the city? Or a park service? Or...? They do a wonderful job and are to be commended.
