I thought these azaleas in a front yard were so big and beautiful that I had to stop and take a picture of them.
I didn't realize it was time for the tent caterpillars already but here they are.
It was a quiet walk today and I only saw a couple of people. It wasn't a surprise though because there are less people walking the paths than around the lake. I heard lots of birds singing and I heard a woodpecker too but couldn't see where he was. With all the trees filled out now, it is hard to see what I hear. This new route of mine is 6.4 miles.

When the temperature hit 60 I went outside and spent a couple of hours trimming the yews and planting the flowers that I bought a while ago. I don't have much of a front yard, but it was nice get out and work in a garden. I might buy some annuals to add a bit more color. I also swept, watered and took a few pictures.I was out in the front for 2 hours and I was surprised that no one passed by!! I was going to sit out on the font stoop for a while when I got finished but it was so windy I decided to just go inside. Besides it was 12:45 and I was getting hungry for my lunch.
The rest of the afternoon I did a few little things around the house and then made some more squares and read.
Hope all is well in your part of the world.
Till next time.......
A smile from me to you.

Your bird bath looks a lot like the one which we have. :-) He make it into a bird bath fountain, for off the back patio.
Those bridges are so, so lovely. And the azaleas are fantastic.
I'm sure you have a lot of fun, with your little "front yard." After all the work you used to do in the yard of your cute, little house. I know, it's probably not "little." But it is cute!
Gentle hugs,

Loved seeing the azaleas in waves of different hues...truly beautiful. Too bad they don't last for weeks. It's always nice to putter in the garden. Yours is off to an excellent start. Isn't it chilly? I'm surprised that it's chilly there, too.
Your front yard is bigger than I remember. It looks great!
Your garden looks lovely, so darling for such a small space. You did a good job. I know what you mean about the Azaleas, I've had to stop myself from posting so many pictures of them. They are just gorgeous this time of year, right? I'm hoping John and I get those nasty rose bushes cut down this weekend before visitors show up on Sunday. Happy Mother's Day, Happyone.
VERY nice!! (The garden, not the disgusting tent caterpillars!!) I worked outside this afternoon, too. I've gotten about 75% of my pots planted. Perhaps when I'm finished you'd like to come over?
You made it look very beautiful outside your house. Have a happy day :)
Looks like a great walk! Thanks for sharing. I like your garden. Art
Those azaleas sure are beautiful. Such pretty colors. Yuck to the tent caterpillars :(.
Your garden is charming. It looks like a manageable size. You have the benefit of a pretty garden with time left for walking, reading, knitting, eating ice cream :). Sounds like a perfect balance to me.
