Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My Tuesday

A cloudy humid morning like yesterday, but a little bit warmer at 69 degrees and when I was about a half mile from home a light rain shower started.  Not enough to get wet but it felt good to feel some cooling rain drops.
I walked around the lake.  A few rabbits were at the edges of the path and the usual birds were around.  I saw a Blue Jay too which I don' see very often.
The usual amount of people were out too.  I saw my friend Barb who I haven't seen for a couple of weeks.  She said she's been walking earlier at 5:00!  That's a bit too early for me - I'm still in dreamland.
I saw a few new people walking this morning as well.  You can usually tell the new people because of all the stuff they have with them. : )  Water, food, walking sticks and all the extra goodies.  Mind you this lake has three restrooms and four different places to get water.  But hey, they are out there walking.  The longer they walk the less stuff they will take with them. : )  If you're wondering if I take water or anything with me, no I don't (just my camera and my phone).  I just drink when I get home.
I walked the opposite way around the lake.  I usually turn right at the lake to walk around it but just for something different I turned left.  It's about half and half for people on which way they walk around it.
Another great morning walk and I went 6.2 miles.

I had planned on going to my knitting group this morning at the place where we sit outside in the courtyard of Kings Contrivance.  I checked to see if we were still meeting outside or if it was changed to inside at the mill because it was raining.  Some people were still going to be outside but others decided to meet inside at the mill.  I went along with the inside people.  The rain did stop but since I had to go over the house to bring in the recycle bins anyway I just parked at the house and walked over to the mill.  There were about eight of us there.  I made four more weave-its while I was there. We broke up a bit early at a few minutes before noon.  Most were going out for lunch but I decided not to go along.

I spent the afternoon on the computer - most of the time doing jigsaw puzzles.  I like that I can make puzzles out of my own pictures.  It is addicting.

No Netflix tonight.  I guess we will watch an episode of The Duchess of Duke Street which we own.  I'd rather watch that than more of the Sopranos.

Ken and I both enjoyed last nights movie from Netflix, Keeping Mum.  Funny, different and worth watching.

Hope you enjoyed your Tuesday.
A smile from me to you.

Funny how we get addicted to games -- I love playing solitaire!

I noticed when I got up this morning (MUCH later than you!!) that the ground was a bit wet.

Hi Happy One, Games are the one thing which I have never done on the computer. I am a 'game' person --and have enjoyed them all through the years. BUT--a friend once told me that IF I started, I would be addicted. AND Heaven Knows---I don't need ANOTHER addiction... ha

Have a good evening.
Hugs,
Betsy

Yes, that puzzle maker is addicting. I try not to go there! I cannot believe the amount of rain you've been getting (but, of course, I hear Breck is still getting snow, so rain is preferable).

Well I was able to get to knitting group as well. But I went to Kings Contrivence and it turned out great weather-wise. I could only stay an hour so I was glad it was close. Mom had OT at 11:00. I missed seeing you, however. :-(

We don't see very many bluejays around here either, but I did see one a few days ago. So pretty.
The jigsaw puzzle site does sound like a lot of fun. It's amazing how quickly time passes when we are enjoying something on the computer.
