Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Ideal walking weather

I walked around the lake this morning and took a longer way home.  The temperature was in the mid 40's and sunny.  For me this is the ideal walking weather.  The air is cool, clear and fresh and I am warm but not hot. I only have to wear two layers and no hoods but just a ball cap. The ball cap keeps my hair from blowing all over the place.  I like to put my hair through the hole in back and have a pony tail. Sometimes I braid it.
I didn't see the beaver but I saw a few trees like this that the beavers have cut down.
I walked down by the water and saw this.  I'm thinking maybe that is what they are building.
A little farther down down the path I saw this fisherman fishing and just happened to walk by as he caught a fish.  I watched him take the fish off the hook and throw it back in.
Around the other side of the lake there are a bunch of cherry trees and they have started to bud and bloom.
A saw a couple deer just standing in the woods.  They blended in so well with the trees that I didn't see them at first.  They must have thought they were well hidden because they didn't move a muscle.  I just continued on my way and let them think that.
Just a few people out which was surprising since the weather was just perfect.  I wonder how many people live near my lake and have NEVER walked around it.  Kind of sad to think of that.
I think some people wear way too much perfume.  I was walking across a parking lot and a lady was walking to her car quite a good distance away from me and I could smell her perfume all that way away and it did not smell good.   I don't wear any perfume - Ken doesn't like it - he always tells me I smell good.  :-)
Such a nice walking morning I had to tell myself to go home.
I walked 7.4 miles.
Sunrise 7:16
Sunset 7:16
Look at that.  Times are the same today.

Last night after supper we went to the book store to look around and I always like looking in the bargain book section.  I found one last night that looked interesting so I bought it -  The Illustrated Guide to the Bible.  I'm going to read some of it each morning during my Bible reading time.
Another day at home for me which I don't mind.  Did more house stuff.  A nice sunny day to hang the clothes on the line to dry.
I tried sitting outside a little earlier but there was a breeze it felt a bit chilly to me to just sit out there and knit, so I did some knitting inside.  I am happy to say that I've gotten the hang of the scarf and it's coming along quite well.  A picture of what I've done so far is  HERE.
Tomorrow the temperature is supposed to be in the 70's so I'm saving tomorrow to wash my car.

On this Thursday, I hope you had much to smile about.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone :-)

That looks and sounds like a delightful walk. I always wished I could wear that ponytail/ball cap look as I think it's so cute.
The scarf is looking good. I had no doubts that you would figure it all out.
I enjoyed your Irish blessing today.

I don't like beavers at all because of the damage they do. We have wetlands near my house and beavers felled enough trees to totally change the landscape. I noticed new wire fencing around all the trunks of the nearby trees.

Great day for a walk.

Sounds perfect. It was finally a good day for walking here, well, except for the mud, ice, and uncleared sidewalks. But the weather was lovely. I would love to see the cherry trees in bloom. Wait, I will!

I am so gald your weather is getting warmer, and to have 70's tomorrow I know will be a treat.
Beavers do cause a lot of damage around here.. Enjoyed my walk with you. I am only walking 3 miles a day now, and hope to be up to 4, by April's end.
Enjoy the warm weather tomorrow.

How much scent to wear, if one chooses to wear a scent? Always a problem.

Haven't worn any, in a long time. Used to only wear a lilac or lily of the valley scent. Even those, though soft, could be too-much for certain people though...

Wonder how many people ever think of such a thing though? :-) I have more and more allergic reactions to things, as I get older. So this does ring-a-bell with me.

Good luck to those who are overcome by most any scent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love to watch the beavers' handiwork.

I agree with you about the perfume -- especially in restaurants!!
