Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A warm morning

The warm weather continues this morning.  It was 53 when I left for my walk this morning.  I was wearing only leggings, a sweatshirt and my ball cap.   I felt pounds lighter and felt like I was flying down the path.
Lots of people out around the lake today.  I stopped counting after 18.  There were even a few fishermen out sitting at the waters edge with their fishing polls.
I saw a few cardinals and two red winged black birds.  Then I spotted an eagle soar over head.  That was so cool to see.  Quite a few squirrels scurrying in the leaves and up and down the trees with leaves in their mouths, starting to build their nests.
Workers continue to work on the new Boat Ramp/Pier trying to get it done for spring.
It was quite busy at my lake today.
I walked 6.4 miles.
Sunrise 6:56
Sunset 5:48
Enjoy your Friday.
Happyone :-)

I read once that seeing an Eagle is Good Luck - so, have a lucky day!

You've gone through some swift weather changes over the past week or two. I'm sure this kind of weather is far more appealing for early morning walks.

It has been a beautiful few days. Hard to think of it as February.
